I am an EVA frequent flyer, sign up to their Evergreen Club when you use them. I used to fly BA, Qantas and Thai direct, now EVA everytime. New 777s with Video on Demand, staff service and direct flights are excellent. When you have a silver card they also give you 30kg allowance and we have had use of the Heathrow Lounge every time (not sure if that is a "Default" privilege though").
Regarding the prices though, when I see ฃ20 return for internal Thai flights, I expect to pay ฃ20, when I see ฃ295 flights to Thailand from the UK, I expect to pay vastly more, why in the UK when there are all rules and regulations, don't we see an "Actual" price!!!!!
When looking at the Oasis Airline flying to Hong Kong, they break sown the "Actual" prices to Taxes, Fuel Surcharge, Airport duty etc, makes interesting looking!
Can you imagine getting a bus ticket for ฃ1 and then when you get on the bus you are told you have to pay another 50p for fuel, 80p tax and a bus stop charge of ฃ2!!!

i had a look at the look at the website of the u.k. travel agent advertising on udonmap and the one mentioned in this topic. they can not show prices like this in the u.k. tax must always be shown. flying to the u.s. 15 years ago tax would be about ฃ30 but today fly to bkk and tax etc, can vary from ฃ130 to ฃ200 its a large part of the cost of the ticket. its nice to see someone has been able to book on evaair, when i have tried using a main uk agent then tickets are no longer available at this price or the usual is a flight is available one way but not the other.on one occasion i gave seven dates to get a flight to no avail.
