My goodness, she does seem to keep a tight reign (pun intended) on the Pommy establishment - particularly for someone who is above politics. :D
Revealed: Queen’s sweeping immunity from more than 160 laws

Monarch enjoys extraordinary exemptions under law – which extend to her private estates and even a royal fishing business

Personalised exemptions for the Queen in her private capacity have been written into more than 160 laws since 1967, granting her sweeping immunity from swathes of British law – ranging from animal welfare to workers’ rights. Dozens extend further immunity to her private property portfolio, granting her unique protections as the owner of large landed estates.

Hopefully, most of this nonsense doesn't extend to the dominions. I am sure the new President of Oz won't get to enjoy them.

This is disgraceful. What's the matter with UK politicians for legislating this nonsense?

It's a serious issue. I think people outside the UK relate to the Saxe-Coburg and Gothas in quite a different way from the British. On this issue I'm more American than British.

Queen Elizabeth is my servant. I'm not her servant. If she doesn't like that, she can fxck off. The sooner the better.
