Re: Who will win the AFL this year
Up the proverbial thanks Marjamlaw. The swans brains trust must be asking themselves why they recruited Ladhams. His lack of discipline was breathtaking. Taking nothing away from Port, their younger brigade really stood tall in the absence of Boak an Gray. Port will take a lot of scalps during the remainder of the season and will shape the make up of the final eight. For what it is worth, l spent 1972 at Footscray with Bob Rose as Senior Coach, John Birt as Reserve Grade coach and Billy Hughes as the Under 19 coach. My residential address was in Footscray’s zone and they would not clear me to South Melbourne so l headed back to the bush at the end of the season.

A far more satisfying round so far.
Eagles long overdue win, Shockers well overdue loss.
Settling in now to watch the little Pussies vs the big Pussies.

Great game at headquarters this afternoon. Geelong and Richmond both looked as though they would win at different times. Both look as though they will be able to go deep in September. Good game between Fremantle and Carlton also.

I would put Richmond and Brissy above the Wobblers.
Otherwise......agree.
ps I reckon if the Eagles had won 15 more games, they could have given it a shake.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Good to see we can agree on something at last, Dero.
ps I still need to do a reconciliation of the Shockers last 10 games, to see if my prediction was close to the mark.

Re: Who will win the AFL this year
Bloody hell, we will never be able to shut Jack up. Freo, at home, is getting flogged by the Doggies - only 1/2 way thru the 2nd quarter.
At least Geelong fell over the line.
3 great games thus far this weekend.

Just looked at next week's fixtures, and I am in a real bind.
Wobblers v Shockers - can I wish for both teams to lose?![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Who will win the AFL this year
You can be assured you will get 1/2 your wish. Going to be VERY hard for Freo to win next week in Melbourne, thinking their race has been run for this season.

Time for all AFL lovers on here to nail their colours to the mast.
For me, it will be the the Pussycat Handbaggers (aka Geelong) holding the cup aloft on the 24th.

Re: Who will win the AFL this year
Well I am no judge but am now am at least a neutral observer. Collingwood were stiff and I wouldn't write them off. Melbourne will bounce back and their prelim with Geelong will possibly decide the premier. BUT what about the Swannies - home prelim and already one big final victory at the G - they are on fire. Tough to pick one but I'll go out on a limb and say Collingwood - Melbourne GF with the Pies getting up by a point with a kick after the siren. ![Confused ](./images/smilies/uhoh3.gif)

Re: Who will win the AFL this year
Sadly for Collingwood, they have lost their prime mover for the rest of the final series. Is there someone waiting in the wings for an opportunity to make a statement.

Go the Cats

CATS IN A CANTER
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Cats don't canter. Horses and ponies canter.
