I wish her well in her new role and hope she can take some action with regard to energy prices before the onset of a cold and what could be deathly winter for some.
She's double buggered from the get go. She's a Tory and she's got keep the back benches onside.

Doom'd. Doom'd I tell ye...

I will hold my own cousel until she has been in the seat for a few weeks.
As for the OTHER LIZ, Queen at her age, why the hell should she travel, she can ask/nay make people come to her, due to her old age and probably ongoing infimity . Some can be so crass in their thoughts and comments !!.

My point exactly, why should HM even consider inconveniencing herself for what is no more than a stopgap ERG puppet

Pritti Patel jumps before she gets pushed and resign as Home Sec. She gets sent to the back benches which I suppose is a darn sight better than Rwanda which is where most of the country would prefer to send her

If she can't do the job, surely it is time she stepped aside and allowed the more mobile Charlie to do it.

Agree?

After enduring the past several years of US politics, it seems it's time to turn the channel to the UK.

I feel sorry for the back benchers who now have to squeeze over to let Prattle's barge arse get a seat. At least May was weight/height proportionate. She also delivered withering fire across the former chief clown's tousled bows on occasion. Let's see who gets to arm the Tory's own torpedo tubes against HMS Truss. Fresh from the "battle", it's hard to work out which chum of the educated son of an Asian shopkeeper will get the keys to the torpedo room at the moment. I only hope they're good and quick and relentless and sink the bloody thing before they run aground and make even more of a mess.

Busy day at ABZ I imagine with Boris handing in his notice first and then Liz getting the new contract. Unless of course they're both using whirly-birds and blowing more public money from the get go. You would think in these fiscally challenged times, they could at least share a taxi? It's not as if they have to talk to each other any more than they didn't do before.

Are you telling us that Balmoral Castle doesn't have central heating?

If not, I am happy to start a Go Fund Me page to help the old dear out.

I'm looking at you, 93*, for a big upfront donation.

*what has happened to GT93? Perhaps he was an extra on the new Amazon LOTR series, and is swanning around the world doing the publicity thingy.

A flight believed to be carrying Boris Johnson to Scotland has landed at Aberdeen international airport, PA Media reports. The Dassault Falcon 900LX left RAF Northolt at 8.30am and landed at Aberdeen at 9.30am.

So, a French-built executive jet. Tres poshe.

Liz Truss has landed at RAF Northolt in west London. From there she will be heading for Downing Street, where she is expected to deliver her speech to the nation within the hour.

No mention if it was De Havilland Chipmunk she used.
