I will hold my own cousel until she has been in the seat for a few weeks.
As for the OTHER LIZ, Queen at her age, why the hell should she travel, she can ask/nay make people come to her, due to her old age and probably ongoing infimity . Some can be so crass in their thoughts and comments !!.
If she can't do the job, surely it is time she stepped aside and allowed the more mobile Charlie to do it.

Agree?
No do not agree but then expecting you to understand that would take a miracle !!

Looks like HM should have a "thought bubble" saying Jeez, and I thought Boris was bottom of the barrel

The new Prime Minister is smart, studious and has a good sense of humour.

Thought i'd take a look to see who was gonna sort out the Grant Shapps mess as Transport Sec. What with the Railstrikes/airport and airline staff shortages/road haulier shortages and bus driver shortages caused by the Extreem Tory Brexit, we need someone who understands and has the experience of the transport industry to sort it out, so who has we got .......... Anne Marie Trevelyan whos claim to fame is "She has a passion for singing"
Somehow I fail to see how a rendition of The Casey Jones Theme or perhaps Convoy is going to be a lot of help

^ you raise a good point Statts. How / why do we allow people with zero experience in the field to take over the most senior position for it.

Sometimes it is best to put someone into a senior position with no experience. That way they have a an outside looking in opinion

I had a Supervisor who had no experience in this position in the oil/petrochemical industry. He had a Bachelor of Science degree and work previously at a Slaughtering House. I proceeded to question my Managers decision on this placement and he said to allow for this to progress. I did and in the end received the best boss I ever had. Reason was that he didnt want to know my job and allowed us to to manage ourselves. What he wanted to do was educate us on better way in doing our jobs, which he did.

Not so fast Baldric. I have only a City & Guilds in Cheese Husbandry Part I & II (with Distinction and Credit respectively) from Dumbarton Polytechnic. Yet I have served a pivotal role in at least three significant oil discoveries worldwide plus half a dozen gas fields, a disputed pregnancy, a foreclosure and a brawl at a nightclub in Fortaleza. But I digress...

To answer the question, because we vote for them. That's the root cause of politicians.

There's a bandwagon too? And they're playing covers?

Anyway, I am the OP so let me just carry on not worrying about anyone jumping onto anything.
