I think Freon was banned many years ago
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

8 Who was crowned on Christmas Day in 1066?
William the Conqueror

1066 was still using the Julian Calendar, so wouldnt he have been crowned in Jan 1066 (11 days removed in 1752)?
Was Xmas day celebrated in Jan back then?

Logged in for my daily dose of fun and frolics Udon style half hour ago and gradually worked my way up the fascinating banter in the other threads to the quiz. Was in the process of sweeping up a few when you gave the answers Butchie.

Not fair. Give us at least 24 hours or I'm not playing any more. I knew 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 &10 but would have spelt freon differently so would have accepted a dunces hat for that

It may have been, Statts. I shall find out when Christmas Day fell back in 1066.

Good effort.

I can do that, Barry. Moving forwards, I'll leave the questions open for at least 24 hours.

Stand easy.

Ah, I've learnt something new.

1066: if we were to compare Julian Christmas Day through a Gregorian reckoning then the chaps in 1066 would have celebrated Christmas on 6th January.

Someone said Harold was crowned on Christmas Day 1066 but it was 6 January on the Julian calendar.

Splendid.

7. There was a movie made about that incident starring Dick Bogarte (???) in which a British ship got caught in the Yangtze and was in danger of getting shelled by the Chinese Communists. Interesting movie. I am not sure if the CCP had defeated the KMT at that point so it could have led to an international incident of some note.
