The UK had a Monarchy stood the test of time any bad apples were removed one way or another . Unlike some countries ( no names no pack drill ) whose past leaders desire to cause as much chaos as they did when in power or by threats and deceit stay in power. Rather a Monarch, when they die you get a new one only expense is dealing with the deceased and crowning the new one after that certainly a lot cheaper. I didn’t have an invite but my father did, he almost went alone as he had asked my mother and I if we were busy and we both had something to do, in the end he let slip that he had got a gong, so we both went with him. It is certainly an experience not to be missed. Specially the life guards playing in the gallery during the investitures.
