Yesterday was a sunny day, dried things out nicely......8pm stars outside.....then 9:30 and thunder, then strong easterly winds and 30mm of rain. September's total.....thus far.....200mm

Windy.com shows that the bad weather is to the southeast of Udon, and the wind is from the north west.

If you read the English Thai News-papers, we will have heavy rain, 28-29 Sept, heavy rain from 28 to 30 Sept plus MORE rain from 29 to 2 October, depending on which forecast you read,see or look at .
My forecast is it is going to get WET, with some wind strong in places and Grass cutting will be okay next week about Tuesday onwards . Ideal time for car Washing allowing the rain to rinse off the shampoo etc .
Considering how much technology has improved I am amazed that here the Press and TV Channels cannot offer a more accurate forecast at ANY TIME !!

Well judging by various sites it looks as though tomorrow Friday this storm or whatever is going to come around and get a lot nearer possibly wetting a lot of Udon Thani province,
Currently the wind is pushing it away but nature like women will turn and upset the apple cart`.
So not yet folks not yet but soon after that not too many more weather problems on the horizon

so far been lucky in Udon .. might escape today with a very overcast day .. but rain is forecast for the following 2 days.

Updates from customers i received its stopped raining in Ubon n Sisaket but still flooded ... also in Korat Sikhio its been constant heavy rain for 36 hours and still raining now .. the main Mitraphab HW from Korat to Saraburi is badly flooded in the low sections.

Seems Noru has been a storm in a teacup for Udon

Noru went to southern Issan. The other storm went up into Lao. Udon dodged the bullet...

We live on the banks of the Huai Luang river, about 1km downstream from the Dam, according to the locals the gates are to be opened today.
Hopefully no flooding for us and maybe remove some of the weed (Water Hyacinth) that's been choking the river for a couple of years.

We may have dodged the bullet, but getting hit by the shrapnel. Bands of heavy rain at kilo 18.......Sept's going to go out with a bang.
Since I wasn't able to do my daily 2miles at Nongprajak or suitable outdoor venue, I did the same in Central today. Lots of new shops and bustling with people. Looks like the well-to-do were represented.....maybe because there was a Money Fair going on in Central.

September closed out possibly the wettest September in many years......about 310mm of rain for the month. Yesterday 105mm! It's not uncommon for the rain gods to shut off the spigot in mid September with an occasional storm after that.....but this year the rains kept coming.
