"Credit for the creation of the turducken is uncertain, though it is generally agreed to have been popularized by Cajun chef Paul Prudhomme. In the United Kingdom, a turducken is a type of ballotine called a "three-bird roast" or a "royal roast".[citation needed] The Pure Meat Company offered a five-bird roast (a goose, a turkey, a chicken, a pheasant, and a pigeon, stuffed with sausage), described as a modern revival of the traditional Yorkshire Christmas pie, in 1989;[8][9] and a three-bird roast (a duck stuffed with chicken stuffed with a pigeon, with sage and apple stuffing) in 1990.[8][9]

The practice of stuffing birds in layers goes back centuries, if memory serves me right they managed up to 7 layers in medieval times. I love this as a Christmas meal centrepiece and prepared it several times

What is a Turducken

Deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck stuffed into a deboned turkey. Not all that uncommon in the U.S.

When the duck finishes cooking, you will have already exceeded the max cooking time for the chicken and Turkey. If you cook the chicken or Turkey for the correct time the duck will be 5 or 6 mins per pound undercooked thats an hour undercooked for a 10lb duck
