"By the end of December 2006, the British government had paid the sum of 83.25 million US dollars (equivalent to 42.5 million British pounds) to the U.S and 22.7 million US dollars to Canada. These payments were the last parts of the installment, bringing an end to Britain’s debts from the Second World War."

just some info

I read that Thailand ( our homeland of choice ) has decided that as usual sitting on the FENCE is the best possible decision regarding the UN Vote against Russian annexation of 4 areas in Ukraine citing all sorts of reasons, which put together says we are not involved and do not want to be !. But they seek Russian Tourists,,go figure !!!!

Reminds me of the Quisling Govt of Vichy France aka WW!!, the weak response to Myanmars aggression internally and the icing on the cake the Declaration of War against the Allies in WW11 , which I think has never officially been withdrawn (I may be wrong on that point ) . This did hasten the end of Singapore by the Japanese and the thousands of prisoners dying in work camps including the infamous railway .

For the first time since the invasion began, pro-Kremlin public figures, media and military bloggers are criticising Putin’s war strategy.

And Ukrainian officials say they remain committed to the counteroffensive, even after a sharp escalation this month with heavy Russian air raids on cities across Ukraine in apparent retaliation for a blast on a bridge of strategic value to Moscow’s troops.

A bit weird that the article uses the term air raid. An air raid is where bombs are dropped by aircraft. What Ukraine is experiencing is missile attacks.

What are air raids?

"It is a systematically organized and executed attack from the air which can utilize strategic bombers, long- or medium-range missiles, or nuclear-armed fighter-bomber aircraft to attack targets deemed vital to the enemy's war-making capability."

Bakhmut.. The only place on the entire front where the Russians seem to be continuing to push ahead albeit only a few meters a day. Seems that Putin doesn't want to give up the Donetsk region....

The Russians reportedly fired off around a 100 cruise missiles and IRBM's when those errant missiles entered Poland.. So, given the lame ass tech the Russians are using its certainly well within the realm of possibllity that those that hit Poland are indeed Russian missiles. Now, the question is, what will NATO do? This could easily give them a reason for declaring a limited no-fly zone over western Ukraine and enforcing it from Polish airspace.. But, we'll see how far they go. Right now the Polish Preisent is walking back his Foreign Ministry's original statement and Joe Biden has said it probably wasn't Russian missiles....

Russian-made missiles kill innocents in Poland.

Meanwhile, British-made munitions kill innocents in Yemen.

And American-made bullets do likewise in [insert popular shopping mall, nightclub or school location here]

Precisely. From being wall-to-wall news on the BBC this morning, it has subsequently dropped off the front page.

Nothing to see here, move along now.

Yup. Sleepy Joe let the cat outta the bag with his brief reference to "trajectories". There's got to be a fair few geo-stationary satellites with high-resolution optics and all sorts of laser tracking capabilities feeding data to the Pentagon while their armoury gets field tested in eastern Europe.

The KH-101 is a stealthy long-range cruise missile, with advanced guidance systems capable of hitting targets with incredible accuracy.
Not so accurate this time.
However, the crash site coordinates have the same latitude as Kyiv and the longitude coincides with Lviv.

Over 90,000 Russian military personnel have either died, are unaccounted for, or have suffered injuries that mean they cannot return to service. This is according to a report published by the independent Russian media website iStories.

If true, this would be equivalent to nearly half of the 190,000-strong invasion force assembled by Putin for his imperialistic conquest of the former Soviet territory.
