incredible scenes in Ubon .. river has burst its banks in several places.

LYM KK still under water in low lying areas n thats before the next 2 or 3 days of very heavy rain thats coming in.

Noru has even made the major news channels over seas ..

DM
Yikes! This is not good. I guess the north around Lamphun, Lampang, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are relatively flood free, but I wonder about Nan that always seems susceptible to flooding.

Just spoken to my g/f who's staying with her Mother whilst I'm in the UK. Shes been up all night clearing water out of their home north of Ubon Ratchathani. Never had to do this before! Maybe have to do the same when we get back to our home in KK next week.

Sounds bad.
Parts of Khon Kaen are in very bad shape with homes and vehicles badly damaged.
Yep, my m/c is probably floating down Mittraphap as we speak.

Any sources you use to get photos etc? I've tried the usual expat FB sites but, nothing that helps me assess if my place is having issues!

I'll try and send some photos from Khon Kaen after I get home from work.

The water is waist high in some homes.

Updates coming to me from.customers in flooded areas and latest tv news reports are looking real bad for many provinces in lower Isaan .. worst effected Ubon Sisaket Yatsothon ... water levels up to the house roof level in Warin Chanrap a district of Ubonratchathani .

Traveling the length of the Mitrapab HW udon all the way to Bang Pa in interchange onto motorway 9 is very hazardous with flooding in all.low lying sectoonss notably Lampthakong resevoir at Sikhio

Udon remains very lucky .. at the moment

Looking forward to DM's flood update for the bit of Mitrapharp from Udon to the KK ring road and west towards KKC (airport).

No problems from Udon as far as Kaset Wisai .. then it went a bit pear shaped ..in Surin province now and seen worst flooding i can ever recall here .. tge river at Tatum over its banks and flood water as far as theceye can see .. boats n jet skis along the route and the tow truck guys are maming a killing .. the 202 and 214 roads remain above flood level like driving on a causeway n a tad worrying at times ... lots of famies lost everything with their properties sumurged to the roof... terrible .people belongings n pets on second floor balconies or the roof.

Dm ... reporting from Rattanaburi Surin province.

Huge swathe of flooded land south of KK from east to west. All high and dry on the drive from Oodorn to KKC.

Surin to Blk on a beautiful sunny day .. flooding around Korat on lower lying roads, Saraburi and Bang Pain .. Bkk RR Mw 9 into Bkk ok but once youbdrop down off the elevated sections parts of Bkk are badly flooded including the lower end of Onut road sadly where i need to transit and am now hold up .... looks like i may be here a while.

No rain just run off filling rivers n resevoirs releasing water causing flooding on the central plains. Parts of the Mitraphab Hw flooded that run by the Lamthakhong rez but used tge new specialky opened elevated hw fir those sections.

Dm . Reporti g from my fav coffee shop on Onut rd waiting fir the traffic to clear and cleaning my snorkel

SNORKEL .. thats a great word and imo grossly underused in the British language...

Traffic still chaos so another coffee coming with a toasted muffing (another great word).... usally clears about 10am abd with most of all civil servants working from.home on prayuts say so much lighter number of cars on the waterways ..er...roads.

Most streets in downtown Udon are flooded. Meanwhile they are repaving Pracharuksa road (Napalai Hotel). What a mess.

Indeed had to venture into the metropolis this morning and after all night rain and more this morning loads of sois badly flooded even sections of the ring road ..and as you say re tarmac surfacing top end Napoli hotel road and on the ring road from Nong Hin school to Boontavorn is also getting the treatment... CHAOS in such inclement conditions.

More of the same until mid next week if the "experts" are correct.

On the bright side Scunthorpe United FC are toppa the league and the sun always shines in SUNNY SCUNNY
