The people were conned for sure Statts ..thats the people who won the leave vote in 2016 .. they have been conned fudged and lied to for 6 plus years ... if the government had completed the voters mandate in a timely manner many of the brexit issues you love to bring up would not have arisen.

Indeed the voters have been conned ..well spotted

Buyers remorse. Especially hard after the salesman got fired.

Now get over it.

And Farage...and Corbyn...and Abbott.

If there's any credibility of the trainwreck that is sitting government you mean? They are the only ones that can call an election. With their popularity down the pan and round the s-bend, the Tories are more than happy to fiddle while Rome burns.

Sunak will be anointed next week.

Would probably be good for the markets, but ERG wouldnt let him instigate his plans.
Only reason they allowed him onto the ballot last time is that they knew he couldnt beat Truss

I hadn't seen this quote before - how insightful of Mr Parris.
In the middle of the summer leadership campaign, Matthew Parris, the former Tory MP-turned-columnist for The Times, warned Conservative party members that they should not vote for Truss.

"Ignore those whispers of precaution," he wrote.

"Stick to your first impressions.

"Liz Truss is a planet-sized mass of overconfidence and ambition teetering upon a pinhead of a political brain.

And if you thought for a moment that it couldn't get any more bizarre:
Boris’s bold plan to return as PM, after Truss quits

Boris Johnson might be about to execute the most extraordinary of political comebacks, with his supporters urging him to make a bid to return as British PM after Liz Truss’s resignation.

Mr Johnson is also reportedly privately urging Tory MPs to back him for a spectacular return to No.10 Downing street, just six weeks after he left for the final time.

He is telling MPs that only he can save the ailing Conservative party from oblivion at the next British election.....

He may well be correct in being the only one who can save the Conservatives from being cast into a political wilderness but that's not what needs saving here.

It's just what's needed, the buffoon to take the reigns again until the ethics committee rule that he has to be suspended for his previous illegal activities ............. over 60 Tory MP's went to the bother of putting in "letters of no confidence" against him .......... they gave him a mandate .... "f off and don't come back"

We only got the lettuce cos Bojo was gonna put them all on the dole if he stayed to the next election

The signature of 100 MP's is all that's needed to get Johnson on the ticket. I reckon he's a shoe-in and he doesn't even have to get new wallpaper.
