Please update with 2020 recommendations for orthodontists.
Above Question and....

Got quoted 12-15k baht for a crown, is this the going rate? BTW, not for me.....for my 12 year old daughter.....fell and now needs her two top front teeth fixed.
Last crown I had done in Udon was metal and within that price range.

Would you recommend the place where you had this done?

Dr Wongchan Lapanun at the Udom Clinic on Srisuk Rd did my crowns and bridge work......she went to the University of Michigan Dental School. She speaks excellent English.
The clinic is on Srisuk, the prison will be on your left. Go through the Makkaeng intersection just past the prison. The clinic is on your left about 100 meters past the intersection. Phone 041-221-120
When I travel to Udon, I only go to this dentist office.

The specific dentist who did the crown is now in Chiang Mai specializing in implants. His training was at Louisiana State University Dental School.

I think this place might be closed now as the phone has been disconnected...

Strange. It gave us a "This number is no longer in use" message yesterday.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi all
Has anyone used any of these Dentists/Dental Technicians to make a whole new denture set, and also make them "All on Four".
Thanks Barry

You must have received the pensioners discount, kk. :D

I was in there today, for root canal + crown. Price is THB10,000, plus 400 for the X-ray. And they take credit cards, without the 3% loading.

Very efficient and professional service, clean, and with modern equipment. Back in 3 weeks for the permanent crown to be fitted. They are made at a lab in Chiang Mai.

The lady dentist was quite young - did her undergraduate degree in Khon Kaen, and post-graduate in CM.

I am very happy with the price, as I was quoted 16k at the place Declan refers to above. It is also about 25% of what I would expect to pay in Oz. 👍

Three weeks ago I made the trip to Pattaya, Dentist and a holiday. Doctor Warin, Dental Care Center, 038 720079, on Pattaya Klang Rd, absolutly excellent, perfect english, well travelled, no bs. Two front teeth out, denture plate, 2,000 baht total for everything, he's very busy and regarded as one of the best in Pattaya.

Looking for recommendation to have a wisdom tooth removed.

I've used both AEK and Bangkok Hospital in the past and did not rate either of them.

Thanks in advance.
