No more stupid than watching overpaid people run around playing with a ball, supposedly in the name of a game and entertainment . More so when you listen to rhetoric spouted by the head of FIFA and that of e Qatar treating people. Please tell me what is so goddam important .?????????? .. Hyp[ocrites the lot of them and they EXPECT people to pay VAST sums of money ......NOW THAT IS STUPID !!!!!!!!!!!

Post this little snippet,
#Really can't be bothered with the world cup this year. A world cup bases on bribes, blood and bigotry being held at the wrong time of year is just not for me.

PLUS what is with ENGLAND taking the knee, the Game has gone to be a Political football...( note the pun ) hahaha!!!!!!!!!

For someone who's not interested, nine posts is a pretty interesting tally.

Many years ago I went to a house party here in Udon. That evening there was a big game on, may have been the FA Cup Final. All the guys sat down to watch the match except one. This guy was miffed that people preferred to watch the football so he disappeared into the kitchen to talk to the women. Give you one guess who that person was? :D :D

It certainly passes the hours reading posts from someone who thinks punctuation is for others. I still dont understand the offering at 4.59.

Anyway, England will win 2-0 and the Welsh will lose 2-0

I'll have the pleasure of watching the games at 35,000 feet courtesy of Etihad. Never watched a game live on a flight before. It should be an interesting atmosphere.

The atmosphere might not be too bad unless smokers light up and there are covid hackers aboard. Stay away from those deadly silent farters.

Will beer be freely available, and if so, will pissed up English supporters be a problem? :-s

More chance of people on wacky baccy than standard ciggies to pollute the atmosphere LYM. There are ganja places sprouting up all over BKK.

Where I'm sitting, it will be champagne all the way JS. I'll leave the economy chaps to scrap amongst themselves.

I once watched the final round of the Open live at 35.000 feet. It was the year Jordon Speith won. What made it even more surreal was my cousin was doing the on-course commentary.

I wonder if our beloved Western Press will be so eager to report human rights issues/race/equality when we get to the next world cup.

Perhaps FIFA should threaten to remove the competition if they dont.......

Ban ownership of guns
Allow abortions
Allow Equal rights to all races
Protect migrant workers (Mex/Hispanic etc)
LadyBoys Girlies & Trannies right not to be shot at (they only get arrested and deported from Qatar)
etc etc

Actually Gary, what I meant to say was that I've never watched a game I care about at 35000 feet. I've seen a few Champions League matches but, switch over to Teletubbies when I see it's Chelski. It's more entertaining.

The Speith Open was a brilliant watch. I'd done an accumulator that year and the first half dozen or so came in. I stood to win about £50k if Rory won and was getting quite excited when Jordan took the scenic route down the 13th.

I wonder who your famous cousin is? It cant be an ex-golfer because the talent clearly doesnt run in the family :D

Anyone taking bets yet on which of Englands matches will end 0 - 0 (There always seems to be one)?

2021 0 - 0 Italy
2020 0 - 0 Scotland
2019 0 - 0 Denmark
2018 0 - 0 Switzerland
2017 0 - 0 Croatia
2015 0 - 0 Slovenia
2015 0 - 0 Slovakia
2013 0 - 0 Costa Rica

Given England's recent performances, scoring nil would be regarded as success.

England should beat the Persians by at least three goals.
