Heck, after the loss by the Gold Coast, the British Empire has been reduced to England and Australia. Maybe Japan can hold the Imperial standard high. Their Korean colony is ready to assist the Land of the Rising Sun.

With so many of their pool earnestly plying their footie trade north of Hadrian's, it shouldn't be too hard to top the Argies one man band.

Blimey I didn't know there was an Aussie Footyroo ghetto in Carlisle?

Any further North of the wall and they would be playing in the Lowland League, or the even Lower League or finally the "I can't believe it could get any lower league"

No, no, no, that won't do. We'll never have a British Empire final if Argentina wins. Think of the Falklands. Go Australia Go...Beat Maradona! Revenge the Hand Ball!!!

Aussies and yanks go home but got to be happy with our performances against the bigger teams. Poms only English speaking team left so I guess we jump on that bandwagon and see how far they can get. We Aussies will also keenly follow the progress of our fellow Asians, the Koreans and Japanese. Japs every chance to progress.
Enjoyed the Aussie - Argie game. The boys gave it there all and were not to far away in the end. Let's hope soccer in Australia can build upon this performance and create some world class players.

Quality , nowse and tournament experience sees the Cloggies n Argies into the quarter finals ..with relatiative footy newbies and nation discovered n invented by the British Usa n Ozz going home ..

England v Senegal.taneet ..n mi.bloody telly has gone bang , black screen probs (can i say that?)...
England should not underestimate the Senapods ...and should go.thru..i am.however hoping for one of the underdogs to cause a surprise as if all.the big boys win the comp.gonna be a tad sterile IMO..

2 underdogs departed in Us n Oz .. lets hope the Aficans join them

Hoping the Poles can beat the Frogs but thats very unlikely leading to a Eng Frog quarter n our bouys coming home

Good luck.to all except ..Senegal...n France

Is Messi taking the piss at PSG?

His performances at PSG have been poor causing lots of criticism as he jogs around the pitch, hardly breaking into a sweat.

At this WC he's been a different animal. Back to his best Barcelona form.

Arrrrre weeeeee theeere yet?

Can we get back to proper footie now?

Beggers belief that we spend millions in time and money trying to "kick racism out of football" and then hold a comp deliberately pitting country against country and race against race

Yep ban all forms of International sport.

Olympics - banned
World disabled Olympics - out
Commonwealth Games - Out
Super Rugby - out
World Cup, Rugby Union, Rugby League -out
Rider Cup. - Out
America's Cup - Out
Test cricket - Out

We should only have competitions where white v's white, black v's black, Asian v's Asian and nobody should ever play any sport against Arabs. As for bloody netball!
