That's a good idea Whistles, just as an extra deterrent it should be made compulsory for any Asylum applicant when being processed and sent to Scunthorpe, that they should be given a Season Ticket to go watch the "Irons" play under threat of deportation if they don't.
I see the scheme being government funded which will help the Football Club during these difficult times.

The flaw in your argument, they will deliberately be non attendants and demand to be removed. It should be punishment, no one should be handed a get-out-of-gaol card.BillaRickaDickay wrote: ↑March 11, 2023, 11:03 amThat's a good idea Whistles, just as an extra deterrent it should be made compulsory for any Asylum applicant when being processed and sent to Scunthorpe, that they should be given a Season Ticket to go watch the "Irons" play under threat of deportation if they don't.

Well, it's not all doom and gloom in and around Scunthorpe, here's a typical "Burgu" that's just down the road.

He'll never get it Whistles, it's not on Google, maybe I should enter it in the Quiz Topic.
I can leave a couple of Clues:-
Something from a certain country in the Balkans.
Someone serving Porridge is in it.

Got it.
In Oz the inmates pronounce it bargu. Fancy looking establishment for those types. I spent heaps of time in Long Bay Gaol in my teen years, but only on the tennis courts. It was opposite my High School and that, believe or not, was our home courts for interschool tennis.

Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
Sorry whistles. In Oz, particularly NSW the crims call jails/gaols the big house or the slammer, unless you can enlighten me further.

Depopulate the falklands (offer them a million each) and give all the migrants one way tickets. Cheaper in the long run.

Any refugees from House of Commons (MP's that have lost their seat at election) and have voted that refugees should be sent to Rwanda should be included on the flight list themselves. I'm sure Rwanda could make as much use of a few Merchant Bankers etc as they can use desperate people trying to make a new life.
So as not to be too harsh I'd let them take a suitcase with some clothes, their passport and twenty quid with them
