Re: Wet Her Spoons
I think I had a Pie and a Pint for 1.50 and bottles of house wine were 4.99 last time I ventured into a Wetherspoons. Was at least 15 years ago mind you.
What's the average price of a pint nowadays in blighty?

Seeing how all the beers ( 7 or 8 different brews) were ALL 99p it was impossible to pay more .........As I said in my previous post
Re: Wet Her Spoons
Cannot remember price there as long time ago. But price in a typical London pub in 2021 was about 5 gbp.

Re: Wet Her Spoons
Last July I was in my UK hometown of Maidenhead. W S pub, The Bear, was serving Greene individual IPA
at 1.95 a pint. Doombar slightly more expensive as 2.10 A daily walk into town at 2 miles, several pints and my bus stop was almost opposite the Bear, and free bus pass. All round pretty good.
For lager drinkers one was available at 2.00 a pint.

the 99p specials very well but the likes of Stella ( wife beater ) and Kronenburg as well as Cider and Guinness

Re: Wet Her Spoons
Didnt class Stella/Kronki/Bud etc as "brews" only the Real Ales (Stella is more a chemical mix )
