If Trump had not been so cheap and just paid her off with his own money it wouldn’t even be an issue. But he used Cohen to pay her off with his own money then reimbursed him using Trump Org money, over $400,000 by the way, then claimed it as a tax write off for legal expenses. That’s tax fraud no matter how you look at it. That’s why Cohen went to prison, plus lying about it initially.
