Yep, this is the future. Sex will become unpopular, especially if all we have to do is squirt into a freezing cold test tube.

Who would have thought the speed in which the future is coming towards us. I would be curious as to the predictions of the future in the next 30 years as predicted by our forum Alumni?.

You may find it difficult to get a response from the Alumni - unless Texpat, Ricohoc, Fawn, Beer Monkey, et al, decide to make a surprise appearance.trekkertony wrote: ↑May 11, 2023, 2:25 pmI would be curious as to the predictions of the future in the next 30 years as predicted by our forum Alumni?.
However, as a current member/poster, I predict with high confidence that very few of us will be here.

Re: Is this the future of humanity as we know it?
shades of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World:
Brave New World is a dystopian novel by English author Aldous Huxley, written in 1931 and published in 1932.[2] Largely set in a futuristic World State, whose citizens are environmentally engineered into an intelligence-based social hierarchy, the novel anticipates huge scientific advancements in reproductive technology, sleep-learning, psychological manipulation and classical conditioning that are combined to make a dystopian society which is challenged by the story's protagonist. Huxley followed this book with a reassessment in essay form, Brave New World Revisited (1958), and with his final novel, Island (1962), the utopian counterpart. This novel is often compared to George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949).
