All this talk of beer.. Certainly brings the Aussies out in numbers..
I cant think of a better place to quench a hard earned thirst than Thailand.

Such is life.

A tall glass of Tiger on draught (draft) with your meal at the Irish Clock is hard to beat. :guiness:

Singha, Sing low, Chang, Leo, even Archa! Haven't met a Thai beer I didn't like. :guiness:

My real personal favorite is Beer Lao. :guiness: Available in Bangkok (try Gulliver's) and the beach towns but not Udon? The local mafia beer distribs can't stand the competition.

I'm another one who prefers the much superior Beer Lao.
Alas, the only way your will find it in Udon is to bring it over yourself from Laos.

frankie,
just checked the lao beer girls.
nice,
but I also noticed that there is an incredible difference between the pictures from now and before 2005.
Things realy changed in a short time.
Simply look at the style of clothing and the style in general of the pictures: BIG difference
I live here longer than that, but I never noticed how things changed in a relative short time (5years).
(Something to think about: did it change in a positive way: more freedom,... more sexy, more allowed,... OR did it change in a negative way....) #-o #-o

Beer Lao girls

Post by FrazeeDK » September 4, 2007, 7:30 pm

Just remember the power of the Lao government.. Beer Lao is owned in large percentage by the Lao government so they're not going to allow what they consider to be immoral pictures on the Beer Lao Calendars... They are very strict on public advertising and in fact, past laws that Lao models must be used in all public advertising on billboards, TV, newspapers and magazines...

I was drinking Leo like there was no tomorrow. And then L.A. turned me on to Tiger Beer. Good stuff from Singapore.

When Tiger isn't available, I go back to Leo.

But when PopPop and I sit on the veranda and watch the world go by, it's always been Leo.

Liquid Buffet

Post by Garnet » October 2, 2007, 1:10 am

Imagine finding yourself in a bar that offers a "liquid buffet!" I just came across the following advertised by Club Electric Blue, which apparently has locations in both Bangkok and Pattaya:

Liquid Buffet every day:
- all you can drink in 2 hours for 1,000B per person
- not included Corona, Breezers, Cocktails & Brandy
- must finish the drink before ordering another
Garnet & Jack

Amstel is a fair brew, it entered Thailand around 8-9 years back i think, don't think it really took off that well though, sure i see some in Udon sometime back, anyone spotted some recently.

I am used to drink Heineken or Amstel beer.

But I prefer beer Lao :D .

Beer Lao is available in Holland now, but very expensive.

Anyway, I will be in Thailand until January. \:D/
