It's a battle you'll have to fight alone. You've lost me to the other footie thread Stats. TBH, I stopped posting regularly here a while back.

2 things which are p***** me off about the EPL presently though

1. Everton, who should be in the Championship now if the EPL got their fingers out, trying to buy Leeds players. If the players have any sense they'll head elsewhere.

2. Villa splashing the cash. They're a team who shouldn't be in the EPL now.

Witness the goal Sheff U scored during Covid which wasn't given due to goal line tech failing. This effectively kept them up. The irony being that they didn't let Sheff walk an equaliser in as we did when they bleated about playing on due to a feigned injury the previous year.

Add to that that Hourihane got a goal to get them back in it in the play off semi v WBA when he should have been suspended for a punch that was overlooked in the fracas following Leeds goal.

Footballs not fair. I've got a long memory 😀

It is a tad strange that Everton who blatantly flouted the EFL rules have not been charged or faced any investigation, a points deduction surely would see them going where they belong ... the Championship then L1.

Sorry samster cant recall the Villa issue but its obviously bothering you like a wart on yer helmet .. or even worse two.

Be nice chatting on the Grass roots thread this season ..its far more civilized over there so long as we can keep daft Alan off it.

Once you let your pea brains embrace the notion that the whole EPL enterprise is a corrupt construct that's enabled by reacharounds from EFL, it will all make sense.

On another note, last time I looked, there were still nineteen OTHER TEAMS in the EPL to talk about.

You can use the " ! " Report button if 747's meme's upset you. They upset me as they are NOT banter, just two (and sometimes three) idiots hurling repetitive, childish insults at each other.

Yes, after some thought, I've come to agree. While we try to be a little more lax in the sport threads to allow some fun, posts which contain direct personal insults or which have nothing to do with the topic will be removed.

With regard to breaking the rules there are currently two teams worthy of a mention not 18 ..those being Man City currently under investigation and Everton obviously broken the rules but as yet without consequences.

Pea brain aside I dont feel the need to foe anyone (at the moment) and read Alans warblings that said unless Scunny get a mention i refrain from replying ..some of his jokes make me chortle another reason not to miss his additions to the forum.

How serious are these charges against Man City? Will anything be done? How does the situation with the Evertons differ from the Manchester City case?

Nah, I'll gurn about Premier League teams on the correct EPL thread.

In the same spirit, I'll gurn about Jock football on the most appropriate thread.

Actually, do we have a thread for minority interest sports?

Who is David De Gea, and why does it matter? Here's a possible answer for you soccer fanatics, and followers of Man U., and goaltenders.

The disgraceful Evertons haven't won anything in living memory, but to counter that, 474 seems to have won the "Battle of the Wits" against his feeble opposition on this thread.

I suspect that will continue, at least, well into the upcoming soccer season - until next year after which we will inevitably have to scour the Grass Roots thread to keep up with his unrivalled knowledge and keen sense of humour. 👍
