Liberals share a lot of blame for gang shootings. I was appalled when they outlawed stop and frisk. A gang banger with a bulge under his shirt who cannot be frisked is stupid beyond belief. Background checks are also total failures. I know first hand that a young man with mental problems was able to buy an AR15. Fortunately a small town police officer , against the law, confiscated the gun. The kid was able to sell the gun but the police refused to give it back to him. The kid spent $600 for that rifle and couldn't afford a lawyer to challenge the confiscation. Also there is no logical reason for high capacity magazines. The best home defense weapon is a shotgun. They don't shoot through walls and kill people in the next house or people walking on the street.

Stop and frisk is not illegal, it does require the police 'who have reasonable grounds' to perform this search. Your example of a gangbanger with a bulge would meet that criteria. What has been banned is random frisking, and a good thing too.

The liberals are to blame for gun violence? That's funny. And have you ever heard of the 4th Amendment? Yes, only mention the "gang bangers", because they are the only ones who use guns to kill people. And background checks are not a total failure, States with no red flag laws that allow individuals with issues to purchase a gun legally is the total failure.

In addition @glalt, the states that now allow permitless open and conceal carry, it would in fact be a 4th Amendment violation to stop someone and frisk them to see if they are carrying a weapon because they had a bulge. Florida and Texas are two (2) examples.
