I dont know why you dont post more. With all the information you have we could learn so much, Teacher. Police Officer, and now someone who mixed with the Royals.
I too have had that experience dealing with items associated with the Royals, currency , postage on occasion, raising the British flag from time to time, and especially watching WW2 movies with HMS ships moving around the Oceans.
Twaddle, twiddle .....

There are some great British war movies that aren't about the Second World War too. Offhand I can think of Zulu, Khartoum, Henry V, Sanders of the River, mmm, uh...yeah, and many others.Doodoo wrote: ↑July 11, 2023, 9:34 pmKP

Many years ago when I was in the US Navy, we had a guy who knew everything about everything. He was an expert no matter which subject. One day four of us were sitting at a table. This expert had not yet joined us. I told the guys that we should talk about something none of us had ever done. We were talking about mountain climbing when the expert showed up. He joined the conversation and was telling us what mountains he had conquered. We all burst out laughing.Doodoo wrote: ↑July 11, 2023, 9:34 pmKP

KP be interested to know which royals you rubbed shoulders with .. Henry VIII , Queen Victoria ??
I think the word work is referred to as duty Samster .. very good salary and conditions for the employee.
Being a staunch royalist i will admit to agreeing with Charles decision to streamline down to just senior working members and so far hes turned out to be an absolute spiffing monarch and Wills n Kate are simply devine.
gliat ..on any given day you can meet all the Walters you want in Soi Samphan .. the SAS CIA MI5 guys start gathering around 8am for their first Archa briefing and if the conversation starts with "i shouldnt really be teeling you this"" you know you have snared the mission leader n mastermind ..alternatively if you prefer to stay home always plenty of experts on line.

Oh dear boy I am not angry and do not need anyone to tell me to calm down, thankyou. IT IS HAVING to explain to normally intelligent people every little tit-bit which tells me that many have zero common-sense and an inability to even thinkDrunk Monkey wrote: ↑July 14, 2023, 1:35 amEnquiring KP ..not critisizing .. you need to calm.down act responsibly and hopefully soon you can join us in real.time without the naughtyb oy delay ..now runalong old chap...fetch me another boy this ones torn

The real sadness here is feeling compelled to explain your views to anyone, let alone the dullards you encounter on the internet. You're wasting your immense talents you know? Just ask your cabinet maker/carpenter.Khun Paul wrote: ↑July 14, 2023, 6:42 amOh dear boy I am not angry and do not need anyone to tell me to calm down, thankyou. Remember that it is difficult to read people when writing back and forth as to speaking verbally to each other
Also remember that conversation involves 2 people not just one and usually it is the presenter who falters and not the receiver(reader in this case)
If for some reason you dont want to answer a question then dont answer. They arent holding a mallet to your head

That's interesting. And it's a useful guide to how governments and companies manipulate the public to see things their way.

There’s A Lot Of Active Volcanoes
While it is true that most active volcanoes are underwater, there are several volcanoes that are active all over the world today. At last count, the number was a little over 1,500 active. Some go off all the time while others may do so every few months, a few years, etc. The big ones, known as super volcanoes, are the ones scientists truly worry about.
They actually have the power to shape the Earth and cause various problems. Some could flood the world with ash and send us into a new Ice Age. 6 of these super volcanoes are currently “sleeping.” However, scientists monitor these regularly to see if a change is coming. Mind-blowing facts about the Earth like this make us really want to pay attention to the volcanoes of the world!

This titbit about super volcanoes is very concerning, Dd. Mind-blowing indeed.
Do you know where they are located, or in the absence of which, do you have a link showing us where?
That would be extremely helpful.

Get ready for inflation
One factor that is beginning to feed is wages
"United Airlines and the union representing its pilots said Saturday they reached agreement on a contract that will raise pilot pay by up to 40% over four years."

"Why are hot dogs and bun mismatched number wise?"
If you're one of the many people who loves to throw a good ol' fashion backyard barbecue, you've likely had your fair share of hot dogs. While most people may not be frank connoisseurs on your level, there is one thing we can all agree on: It's weird that there's an uneven hot dog-to-bun ratio in their respective packagings!
According to the National Hot Dog Sausage Council, the reason why isn't as strange as you may think. The NHDSC—which was founded in 1994—explained the mismatch packaging is simply because of the way these things were sold back in the day. In fact, it wasn't until 1940 that we actually began seeing hot dogs packaged in packs of 10 (which is why you typically see in stores now!). So why are buns not in 10-packs too? The NHDSC says it's because of the way they are baked.
"Sandwich rolls, or hot dog buns, most often come eight to the pack because the buns are baked in clusters of four in pans designed to hold eight rolls," said the council: "While baking pans now come in configurations that allow baking 10 and even 12 at a time, the eight-roll pan remains the most popular."
The increased talk around this particular issue comes on the heels of a recent petition by Heinz Ketchup Canada to end the hot dog packaging mismatch. At the time of publication, the Change.org petition—which is steadily climbing toward its goal of 7,500 signatures—had near 5,500.
Still, if this change doesn't happen immediately, you can always just...purchase five eight-pack buns and four 10-pack hot dogs to make it even. Enjoy your 40 meals!

Around 500 million Tim Tams are sold per year
Australia’s hugely popular chocolate biscuit – the Tim Tam – is made from two layers of chocolate-malted cookie sandwiched together with a chocolate cream filling, before the whole thing is covered in chocolate. Tim Tams were named after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1958. Around 45 million packs – that's about 500 million biscuits in total – are now sold each year.
