Right..

To clarify ... The comment YOU MADE Alan was that there WAS NOT an airport near Scunthorpe at all .. no mention of how big or small the airport is.
Its called Humberside International for the obvious reasons as flights depart and arrive there to n from other countries.

Nong Khai Alan ..you are charged with being an absolute tool who lives in ashed ... so in summing up 757 i put it to you there is an airport and do YOU agree that all be it small size there is an International airport that serves Scunthorpe and the surrounding area.???

To all avid Scunny fans apologies for this Nong Khai windalicking interlude ...

MORE SCUNTHORPE UNITED NEWS AND UPDATES COMING SOON.

Went to Amsterdam on more than one occasion from Scunny airport. Great road links to South Leeds where I lived so, similar journey time from home to Leeds/Bradford airport.

The road trip to Scarborough sounds fun. When McCains were sponsors there they used to have a seagull mascot doing a Fred Astaire dance routine using a giant chip as a cane as half time entertainment. That or the LSD was kicking in.

No fool i shall be using a plane and traveling UD BKK SCHP HUMB ..... landing at the airport you said did not exist which is btw 11 miles from my home village Kirton in Lindsey.

Back on topic SCUNTHORPE UTD... and following a recent statement from the clubs relatively new owner who has decided to form a new board of directors in which he states he wishes any long term fans of the club to become involved so the club can be ran and decisions made by the fans obviously with his backing and overall control...so far FOUR new directors have been appointed.

read here for more info https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/

Scunnys first pre season game is tomorrow with a kickabout at local side Brigg Town which is located some 9 miles from THE NON EXISTENT Humberside airport.

Sadly our previous owner Swan has reared his fat ugly head (can i say that) and has released a statement saying the new owner is trying to stiff him on the GP part of the deal..this will get messy and may curtail my travel plans back to blighty via the non existent airport.

I noticed this in my trawl through the football news this morning.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66330843

It's a pretty low watermark in the history of Scottish football when an SPL team gets overturned in a competitive match against Andorra's finest. I notice Hibs have an English manager. Lee Johnson, take a bow

final pre season fixture for Scunny is tomorrow at home against Burton Albion from L1 .. its been a decent pre season for the Iron with the 11 new signings all impressing .. last two fixtures at home to Donny L2 and Hull from the championship were excellent games so hoping for a much improved season than the last 2 or 3 really bad campaigns.

First game of the season proper is away at Tamworth with Scunny selling out all their 750 ticket allocation and requesting more ..

For all the die hard Iron fans based in Udon , Thailand , Asia the full fixture list is here.

See the comment prior to DMs for more details 😀.

Moving up a few levels from Scottish football and Scunthorpe, Leeds beat Nottm Forest in a pre season friendly last night.

I'm not reading anything into that other than that the deadbeat Marsch signings have been farmed out and the majority of our squad is now Bielsas youngsters along with the old hands.

Now that Stats appears to be on leave somewhere, I can, again, laud the genius that was Marcelo in creating a foundation of kids at the club that place us In a much better position than we would ordinarily be.

Watch out for kids such as Gray, Joseph, Gyabi and Cresswell. If Gnonto and Sinisterra stay, we might just go up again first time.

Nice goal for Scunny against Hull .. pre season friendly with only 2.5 sides of the ground open hence the unusual amount of empty seats
