Still if Donny was to be pardoned think of all the Republican votes that Biden would pick up. A Pardon is a Pardon no matter what for, where, what Party you are associated with. If you help my Leader (Donny) then I might just come and help you (Biden ) one day down the road

As for Nixon
"Ford justified this decision by claiming that a long, drawn-out trial would only have further polarized the public. Ford’s decision to pardon Nixon was condemned by many and is thought to have contributed to Ford’s failure to win the presidential election of 1976." but the country was at peace.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Biden to pull the country together. Trump has spent years to divide the country into Red and Blue camps. He has attacked people, to the point that America will soon turn into an internal war if he allowed to continue.

Biden won't need the 2 or 300 votes of swinging Republicans.

(Pending the trial decision) how do you pardon someone who has tried, and continues to try, to overturn democracy in the USA, and spits in the face of its people and Constitution?

What Trump has done is far, far worse than anything Nixon was guilty of.

Please elaborate, Doodoo, it would help if you could compose clear sentences that mean something.

Nixon at least had some understanding of foreign and domestic policy. I can't remember if it was him or Johnson who wanted the people to concentrate on football and not think about protesting the Vietnam War.

Biden is just the opposite side of the same mirror as Trump. Neither have any redeeming values, none whatsoever and both parties understand this.

Sorry but apparently you don’t understand or get what is going on here in this situation. It is illogical to think that Biden would pick up any Republican votes, he would definitely lose some Democrat votes, but would not gain any from the conservatives.

A pardon would be a slap in the face, better yet, a kick in the groin, to the American judicial system and to the American people and would prove Trump right, that he could go out on 5th Avenue and shoot someone and get away with it.

He’s like a rabid dog that needs to be put down, he needs to be shown that he is not invincible and is just a mere human like the rest of us.

Biden has (at least) one redeeming value - he is sitting in the White House, and Trump isn't.

To try and draw some sort of equivalence between the 2 (besides age) is laughable.

Okay.

Biden is a polar opposite of Trump, has redeeming values, and whose party understands this.

Along with 81 million plus voters at the 2020 election.

The economic data for the US tells a very different story about the actual performance of the economic policies of Biden to that being peddled by the usual pundits (those still peddling trickle-down economics).

This and similar articles were published following the release of a research note from Morgan Stanley economists on 20 July.
Morgan Stanley credits Bidenomics for ‘much stronger’ than expected GDP growth

Key Points:
• President Joe Biden’s economic policies drove an unexpected economic surge that has forced Morgan Stanley to make a “sizable upward revision” in its GDP forecasts.
• Biden’s 2021 infrastructure bill has created “a boom in large-scale infrastructure,” wrote MS analysts, while domestic business investment “is rebounding, led by manufacturing.”

WASHINGTON — Morgan Stanley is crediting President Joe Biden’s economic policies with driving an unexpected surge in the U.S. economy that is so significant that the bank was forced to make a “sizable upward revision” to its estimates for U.S. gross domestic product.

Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is “driving a boom in large-scale infrastructure,” wrote Ellen Zentner, chief U.S. economist for Morgan Stanley, in a research note released Thursday. In addition to infrastructure, “manufacturing construction has shown broad strength,” she wrote...

Time to name Biden's "redeeming values". And try and avoid mentioning Trump's total lack thereof, aka the "but Trump" narrative. He's no longer the focus of our discussion here.

The Democrats understand what precisely?

The other team got 74 million plus votes so hardly a resounding vote of confidence in EITHER.

Take your time, I'm on night shift.

President Biden's Redeeming Values.

Smart enough and without an ego, he's will to ask for advice from experts before making any serious decisions.
Experienced Politician, and even at his age he know how to play the game.
Comes off as caring about average Americans, backed up by his actions and words.
* Pissed that Dems didn't win both the Senate and House in 2020...what could of been achieved under
President Biden and a Dem Controlled Congress!!!!

That's enough for me.

Only negative (IMO) being his age and the common problems associated with it.
One more negative Kamala being his VP and Running Mate.

Thanks for helping out the more reticent Biden fan boys.

I reckoned Carter was even better when it came to an ego-free and savvy presidency. Didn't help him much though.

This thread is about Donald Trump. His crimes, misdemeanours, etc have nothing to do with the Bush family, the father, the son or even the holy ghost
