Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.

Israel last night was invaded primarily from the south by hamas. hamas crossed the Israeli border and hundreds have been killed on both sides. Numerous soldiers and civilians have been taken prisoner and abducted. Israel has declared war on hamas. This will escalate in the days to come. Israel was caught with its pants down on this one and I hope they can push back hamas and finish the job of destroying them.

this intelligence failure is right up there with Yom Kippur 50 years ago when the Israeli Intelligence Services were clueless about the Egyptian war preparations. Watch for a huge investigation over the coming months and a no confidence vote that should eject Netanyahu from his PM position. Hamas will suffer a lot of death and destruction for this attack.. Once the Israelis invade Gaza watch for the world leaders to immediately call for "sanity and restraint..." meaning of course, Israel should pull out and not hold Hamas fully accountable.

Hamas will not be destroyed. Israel will destroy what they can until the usual culprits start barking to end the violence. The UN will meet and harshly condemn the violence. Hell they might go so far as yo send a harshly worded letter
. One the violence ends Hamas leadership will reconstitute the movement and move toward the next conflict. Iraq will send them some of the money Biden released in the 'prisoners swap" and the cycle will continue.

Gaza is the biggest prison on the world. About 2 million are stuck there. And peoplr do not understand why they hate their jailers. Meanwhile, on the west bank jewish settlers steal more land every year, and terrorise palestinian villagers and businesses. I am just surprised thry have not joined in, maybe because they still have not lost all the land - yet.

Apartheid lasted for over 50 years, but once armed resistance started, even the South African boers realised it would be a forever war, and eventually scrapped it. Israel is in a somewhat similar position but have not realised that.

Give the Palestinians most of their land back and treat them equally, and the war will end.

The old geriatric and absoltely corrupt Palistiian Authority led by Abu Mazzan who has a net worth of over a 100 million dollars? The reports coming in that at least 260 young people who attended a music festival in southern Israel were raped and murdered is reprehensible, I just cannot get my head around that slaughter. Anyone who believes that was justifiable, needs to have a look at themselves.
