NOPE.

Of course not.

The Israelis being held are, for the most part civilians, children (including infants), women, and the elderly, and all of whom committed the war crime of living not too far from the border with Gaza, or attending an outdoor concert not too far from the border. There is a small number of Israeli soldiers being held captive, said to number around 150 (out of the approximately 1,200 hostages being held), from what I've read.

There were originally about 240 hostages of which about 40 are not being held by Hamas. Israeli authorities claim 138 hold foreign nationality. It's not clear how many of the remaining hostages are IDF members.

Yes, I know but why is the Red Cross leading this mission in a region where the Red Crescent is the norm? I worked in the middle east including Iraq and Yemen and it was always the Red Crescent as they are Muslim franchise of the organization.

Little kids playing is one thing, and I agree with you in that, Dean. But being taught to hate by teachers in school, being taught violence by teachers in school is something completely different.

I smile at people criticising what is taught in schools, when basically for eons, Parents have been teaching their children to hate ridicule or ewven openly insult those of a different socio-economic background, those of a different colour and also those of a different ethincity. ALL THE SCHOOLS are doing is reinforcing the local situation.

Look at any country where POLITICIANS Tamper with the educational process stating what can and cannot be taught or even read. FREEDOMS hard fought for are being eroded by culture wars in many western countries due to often ignorance and sheer stupidity.

change the status quo? Who determines the syllabus? Which classes are mandated from a State level? Shouldn't any core cirruculum be based on the simplistic "readin' writin' arithmetic" of yore? What input is provided via public participation in School Board meetings? What deviation from the curriculum is allowed where individual teachers move to teach their own political and social beliefs? I'd say from a democratic perspective parental participation should be paramount. That participation should include a level of parental responsibility to ensure their children are learning...
