"Must win" is not going to happen, so reasonable minds will turn themselves to what is a mutually acceptable solution.

I recognise your earlier list of 20 proposals, but they have stretched over a period of many years, and many different political, social and economic movements.

That may be, but the Palestinians have never even been willing to discuss coexistence. How do you move forward from that? As long as the Palestinians hold that Israel is an occupying force within its own borders, I see no solution, certainly not a long term one.

I note that last week, 153 members of the UN General Assembly voted for a ceasefire, which was not subject to US veto.

While having no legal effect, I see this General Assembly vote as being a far better indicator of world opinion about what is happening in Gaza, than a veto constrained vote in the Security Council.
