Just to remind you Russia has Veto'd the whole worlds condemnation of invasion of Ukraine. But some Ukrainian child is less important than a Palestinian child

UN General Assembly demands Russian Federation withdraw all military forces from the territory of Ukraine
02.03.2022.
Look at the date, and just remind me when the Russians were subjected to a horrific attack by the Ukrainians.
PS
One of the 5 against was Russia.

No ceasefire. By signing off on this [resolution], the UN Security Council would essentially be giving the Israeli armed forces complete freedom of movement for further clearing of the Gaza Strip.
The UN calls for safe corridors, free the hostages and supply more aid for humanitarian purposes, lets hope this happens.
While having no legal effect, I see this General Assembly vote as being a far better indicator of world opinion about what is happening in Gaza, than a veto constrained vote in the Security Council.
Those voting against were the US, Israel, Austria, Czechia, Guatemala, Liberia, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea and Paraguay.
Among those abstaining were the UK, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Argentina, Malawi, the Netherlands, Ukraine, South Sudan, and Uruguay.

Exactly. And through them all, the one constant has been the Palestinian refusal to negotiate a two state solution.jackspratt wrote: ↑December 22, 2023, 8:33 pmI recognise your earlier list of 20 proposals, but they have stretched over a period of many years, and many different political, social and economic movements.
I agree with you on what the vote says about world opinion. Fortunately for Israel, it doesn't base its policies on world opinion.jackspratt wrote: ↑December 23, 2023, 10:45 amWhile having no legal effect, I see this General Assembly vote as being a far better indicator of world opinion about what is happening in Gaza, than a veto constrained vote in the Security Council.

I guess while Israel has the US Congress in some sort of unfathomable political capture, they can afford to ignore the rest of the world.Udon Map wrote: ↑December 23, 2023, 7:48 pmI agree with you on what the vote says about world opinion. I suspect that time is rapidly diminishing, even within the US.

These August world organizations over the years have made many offers to the Palestinians to settle their grievances. All solutions were rejected. They have failed to understand that the main goal is to eliminate and destroy Israel and the Jews. That is the reason the Palestinians refuse to negotiate. Israel is fighting for their very existence.tamada wrote: ↑December 24, 2023, 6:52 amAnd I suspect that the special relationship will endure. Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
there are over a million palestinian Israeli citizens. They for the most part don't seem anti-Jewish or anti-Israel. I imagine your average Palestinian in the West Bank (not Gaza) just wants a normal life. Its the old gerontocracy of corrupt Fatah/PLO that runs the place and with a heavy hand. Then the Hamas elements in the background in the West Bank, all cleaving to their charter's goal of eliminating all Jews. Gaza is a separate story by itself, a Hamas enclave that no matter how much Israel digs out Hamas isn't likely to change. If things get too bad for Hamas there they'll just put on civvies and melt into the 2 million others there.

Says it all, really.
‘If Jesus was born today, he’d be born under the rubble’: Bethlehem set for forlorn Christmas
At Bethlehem’s Lutheran Evangelical church, the nativity scene looks very different this Christmas. Instead of a cot in a hay-filled manger, the baby doll has been wrapped in the famous black and white keffiyeh associated with Palestine, and lies among broken breeze blocks and paving slabs....
..... Munther Isaac, the pastor of the Lutheran church, said he wanted to send the world a message with this year’s nativity scene. “This is the reality of Christmas for Palestinian children,” he said. “If Jesus was born today, he’d be born under the rubble of Gaza.”

No one is forgetting, or minimising how it started.
But how is it going to end?
But how is it going to end?
No indication that any of them were Hamas.Israeli airstrike kills Gaza aid worker and 70 of his extended family, UN says
An Israeli military airstrike killed more than 70 members of an extended family, including a veteran UN aid worker, as the UN secretary general warned that the scale of death and destruction inside Gaza is blocking delivery of desperately needed aid.
Issam al-Mughrabi, 56, was killed with his wife, five children and dozens of other relatives in a bombing near Gaza City, said the head of the UN development programme (UNDP) in a statement that also called for an urgent ceasefire.
Fourteen Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza as Hamas militants dig in, despite continued Israeli bombardment
At least 166 Palestinians were killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours and 384 others injured, the Gaza health ministry said on Sunday, raising the death toll to 20,424 Palestinians killed and 54,036 injured since October 7.
Meanwhile, Israel sustained notable casualties in a series of battles over the weekend as the Israeli Defense Force intensified its military campaign in Gaza.

Do you think that anyone else is firing anti-tank missiles in the area? https://thehill.com/policy/internationa ... d-in-gaza/The Israeli Army Radio reportedly said four soldiers were killed when their car was hit by an anti-tank missile, while others were killed in separate fighting incidents.

Stop jumping at shadows.
It was a reference to the quote preceding it.
We don't know how many, if any, were Hamas because Hamas combines deaths of its fighters and civilians into one number, according to the Wall Street Journal (December 5th article).
Health authorities in the Hamas-run territory say around 15,900 people have been killed in Gaza since the war began, most of them women and children. The figure doesn’t distinguish between militants and civilians.
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Hamas is a a TERRORIST entity which lies to itself, its members and the public ut states to serve, while at the same time has declared publically its intention to basically finish what HITLER AND THE THIRD REICH STARTED .

What do you mean 'so called Bad Guy''? When the deceased general is the known military adviser to a terrorist organization, sure as my arse points downwards, he isn't giving Hezbollah lessons in macramé.
But to answer your conundrum, the IDF and Allies simply need to take out the trash faster or more often, or both.
Better still, hit the grand dumpster in Teheran.
