Wichian went to Israel to provide for his family — he ended up as a hostage of Hamas for 51 days
Wisps of incense smoke curl around Wichian Temthong's face as he kneels to pray at a local Buddhist temple on the outskirts of Bangkok.
It was prayers that helped him endure 51 days as a Hamas hostage in a tunnel in Gaza, prayers he believes were answered.....

A good-news story with a Thai connection, coming from the war zone.

Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Your definition, Alex. Surely "Palestinians" fall into one or more of the categories you contend below.
Going by your definition, not much doubt in my mind it is racist - although you can substitute "bigoted" if you wish.
However, I do admire your projection in the first sentence of the upper quote. But to then to receive immediate support from someone who in recent times has railed non-stop against "abuse" on UM was special, albeit hypocritical.
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Better just crawl under the rock you came from than continue to try and justify your pathetic defense. Up until the late 1940's was there ever a group identified as Palestinians. Palestinians are not a race, they share a common language and religious culture with Iran who identify as Persians. Thats why the majority of Arab nations want nothing to do with them.
Go back to sleep you fool.

Your obduracy has no boundaries, Alex. You are so ignorant, you are happy to ignore your own posted definition.
And while you are researching, anything yet on Keir Starmer, and his refusal to prosecute?

But feel free to post a credible link to their Persian/Iranian ethnic/racial background - given that they are clearly Arabic.Palestinians (Arabic: الفلسطينيون, al-Filasṭīniyyūn; Hebrew: פָלַסְטִינִים, Fālasṭīnīm) or Palestinian people (الشعب الفلسطيني, ash-sha‘b al-Filasṭīnī), also referred to as Palestinian Arabs (العرب الفلسطينيون, al-ʿArab al-Filasṭīniyyūn), are an ethnonational group[30][31][32][33][34][35][36] descending from peoples who have inhabited the region of Palestine over the millennia, and who are today culturally and linguistically Arab.[37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45]

Exactly. Where are all the Palestinian archaeological finds in the region? There are lots of archaeological finds there with Hebrew writing from thousands of year ago. Where's any evidence of ancient Palestinian presence?
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Alex some info that my help

44 countries honored the Passport with entry without a visa or visa upon arrival

True, indeed. AFAICT they are all either Arabic or minor, third world countries, and include no major world powers, no countries in western Europe or North America, very few in Asia.Doodoo wrote: ↑January 17, 2024, 7:42 amhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestini ... y_passport

Presumably you're talking about the "Mandatory Palestine" passport issued by the British government prior to the establishment of Israel in 1948. The Palestinian Authority began issuing the "Palestinian Authority Passport" in April, 1995 (according to the Wikipedia link you provided). Golda Meir died in 1978.
It's worth noting that, again according to your Wikipedia link, PA passports neither imply nor establish citizenship.
According to the 2023 Henley Passport Index, PA passports rank 104th (out of 111), behind Iran (99), Sudan (100), Libya and North Korea (tied at 102) among others, but ahead of Yemen (107) and Iraq (110).

What makes the occupants of Gaza and the West Bank "clearly Arab" What is the physical difference between Persians ('Iranians') and Palestinian Arabs. They worship the same form of Islam, Shia, that virtually no other Arab Nation uses, the exception being Qatar (a tiny tribe in overall Arab terms). Most of the Arab world have issues with Iran and also don't want their offshoots (The new Nationals called Palestinians) in their Countries thus the closed borders. Palestinians are closer to Iran than they are to any of the Sunni Arab nations. Your wikipedia article states that they are culturally Arab, most Sunni's would say that this is incorrect.

The Palestinians speak Arabic, not Persian Farsi.
And they are majority Sunni Muslim.

AlexO, what is your source to indicate the population of Gaza is majority Shia?
Second, for your information:
Second, for your information:
[Deleted]the Persians spoke an Indo-European language that was the ancestor of modern Farsi. The Palestinians are Arabs. Arabic is a Semitic language that is related to Hebrew, Aramaic and ancient Egyptian.

Palestinians are like Persians (Iranians)?? Where did you find that info? They are Arab, they are primarily Sunni Islam not the Shia sect that Iran subscribes to and they speak Arabic, not Farsi. The only reason Iran is helping Hamas who are Sunni is to put it to Israel. Now, Hezbollah in Lebanon is Shia, Many Syrians are Alawite which is a subsect of Shia and the Houthi in Yemen are a subsect of Shia.

Just show us a pro Israel or Jewish post you have made/posted and I will bow to your absolute intellectual superiority. Simple request.
Or is it the same as the vicious attack on a poor wee Hamas hospital. Simple request.
Not holding my breath.
Of course, you and anyone else are permitted to respond. But I believe the censors will find your insulting posts do not meet the standard of the new rules. What do you think?

Alex, can you point to the post where I
.......admitted there was No IDF attack on the hospital.
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
I will ask you once again Pratty.
How many Doctors, nurses, patients were killed, raped, beheaded or taken hostage in the alleged attack on the hospital by the IDF and is the hospital still operating as a hospital not just a ruin.
Surely you are capable of understanding the question and can provide factual evidence to confirm your propaganda.
No one has suggested any of the above happened, Alex - so you will need to look for a new red herring to flounder (excuse the pun) about with.
Would reckon thar 99% of sane people would say you are backtracking and using the usual crap to try and hide behind.
Just remind us how many shots were fired in the IDF attack on the hospital.

I have already responded to that to an earlier post from tamada. How about using hospitals as places for torturing Palestinians as described by AI?

How much force was used by the IDF, how many shots fired, what was the number of casualties. Your pathetic excuses beggar belief.

Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Raises an interesting question, worth considering, IMO. Does it really matter whether the tunnels under hospitals were command centers, or Hamas used them for weapons storage facilities, conference centers, terrorist sleeping quarters, etc.? AFAIK, no hospitals have been destroyed, all are still operating as hospitals, doctors patients and other medical staff weren't targeted. And if that's the case, couldn't one argue that this is exactly the type of limited surgical operation that the U.S. and other western countries have been advocating rather than huge bombs which obliterate as much as an entire block or more?

Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
My understanding is that hospitals are afforded special protections under various conventions. So if you are going to attack one, you need to be pretty sure you have good justification to do so.
In this case, the non-existent "Command Centre" obviously failed that test.
As far as hospitals still functioning in Northern Gaza - no.
