My wife after years of badgering, started making burgers last year. Just basic chopped pork and onion. Cooks them and freezes them. Just take out and warm in Microwave for breakfast. Getting good buns is the issue, most sold in Thailand are loaded with sugar. Unfortunately, many buns are sold without an ingredients list.

Burger buns at Cheese 2 Meet You are sugar-free as are the ones at Villa Market. Home-made style in individual packs, made by someone who probably knows a farang or two. Westenders can't go wrong either if Dean's still baking buns.

No ingredient list though, sorry.

Hamburg buns need some kind of sweetener whether it be sugar or honey

David's place, "The Center Beers 'n' Burgers", in behind Lotus's north on Soi Nongpiboon 10, just up from the HOP INN. Opens at 17:00.
"The Center Beers 'n' Burgers"

Quiet area, friendly customers, ample parking, charming staff, draft beer and prices that won't put a wrecking ball through the pension.

Did I get everything KP?

Oops...not quite. I forgot to mention it's an awesome pool venue too!!!

Tried a burger there a couple of days ago and it was probably one of the worst I've ever eaten. How can a hamburger be chewy and hard to chew? Well if it's full of pieces of tough tendons and bits of bone and probably ground up from a traffic-killed Thai cow. I will never go there again.

I hope you complained to the management or staff.

Well I know she lost her chef due to lack of traffic by speaking today to her.
What a bunch of unforgiving buttheads to dunk on that place that tried so hard. She may not cook those great burgers again based on the boneheaded remarks from that one FREE burger (yes you got that for free or did you forget that part?) So sorry, I'll give them a break. I say go elsewhere and buy your ---- burg for 100 Bhat which is what you are likely looking for. Hope this helps.

The parking lot burger place on Nong Sim from 2:15 to 4:45 does great burgers.

With, or without a Michael Mouse.

Again shows how easily a bad encounter and the person afraid or to cowardly to deal with the problem face to face, rather hide behind a keyboard can cause untold mischief to entrepreneurs .
Everyone can encounter a bad meal anywhere, the polite and gentlmenly way is to make your concerns known at the time to the staff or boss. and then go on your way.
Sadly todays environment applauds those who out a bad plkace or person as they feel justified depending on the amount of likes they get. HOW shallow and cowardly .

As far as I am concerned 'Best Burgers' is an oxymoron.

Yeh, agree with that, and Sausages, Hoof, Horn, Ears and Lips, sometimes needs must.

Sometimes it's not that easy. "Hi, just wanted to let you know that your burger is one of the worst I've ever had. Full of gristle and tasteless." Some might even consider it rude to say that to a restaurant owner.

My observation.

Good cooks use the best ingredients so they can exercise their culinary skills. A great burger is right up there as a tasty dish, but crap ingredients will never overcome rubbish meat, buns etc.

The good ones in no particular order

The Gallery
Full Throttle
Beer Garden
Chris's place
My own kitchen
Linda's (was a cart outside night and day but now gone)

Personally, given a choice is Beer Garden.
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Khun Paul and I agree here. Not often but in this case, yes.

Manage the bad service or product onsite. Not in a forum that can destroy a hard working person's livelihood. That to me is past bad edicate and more to the idea of an attempt to ruin someone's business and shows a bit of cowardice.

I would love to make some conversation about "lassebasse"s posted's business if he was daring enough to frigging try instead and have one being a... well you know a cheap charlie ballon chasing person of that mental capability. Again, if you don't like something please do post in a thread that says "Shitte burgers I hate under 100 baht" as it's subject line instead of "Best Burgers in Thailand".

Please do tell which place to go experience the "lassebasse" burger or other food delights and I'll do my best to critique in a way that is more than fair.

Obviously, this is just my thinking but I think others may agree.

I recall this lack of etiquette regarding restaurant reviews has gotten ugly here before. The same issues basically where a pointedly bad "review" was posted on UM but the "reviewer" was a bit sketchy on whether it was raised at the point of sale or, they left the restaurant unsatisfied, out of pocket without making their opinion clear where it matters most, and just spewed their bile and vitriol anonymously on UM.

The way I see it, if it was sub standard and you made a point of telling the business as such, then yes, post a critique here. If you didn't tell anyone at the business about whatever failed to please, be it the food or the service, we do NOT need to hear you bellyaching on the forum.

Does anywhere still PROPERLY do them?
