Best burgers in Udon
Re: Best burgers in Udon
I think our friend BobZubali comes from out Phen way and could be laying back having a laugh.
Re: Best burgers in Udon
Me thinks so also as l stay very close to the area mentioned and see no sign of a burger place.

Need to plug this again. I recommended it to a friend who went at the weekend. He decided to try something else, but said the food was superb - and probably the best restaurant in Udon for quality of food, in his opinion.rick wrote: ↑February 19, 2024, 8:52 amOn Valentines day, went to a restaurant just 200 metres from home. The burger had been recommended by B-in-L. It was so big eating it was a struggle! And absolutely delicious. Owner is a German chef and his wife, who sold up in Germany and developed this place, which i have seen develop over the last 2 years (next to pond on our farm). No expense has been spared. Clientele is 90% German, but menu is in English. Not cheap....

With 4.9 out of 5 from 29 reviews, it does sound like they're doing something consistently right. All but 1 of those reviews gives it the 5-star treatment. The single 3-star review doesn't say why, go figure.rick wrote: ↑February 26, 2024, 7:17 pmNeed to plug this again. I recommended it to a friend who went at the weekend. Not too far from casa tam either. Note the largely German clientele so will make sure I wear my imitation WWII British Bomber Command pilot's flight jacket and borrow the neighbor's black labrador.

Re: Best burgers in Udon
P.S. I'd say it's between UDIS and Phen, but a tad closer to UDIS. Same side of the road.
And don't forget: she makes the best homemade relish & pickle I've ever tried in TH, lightly toasts the buns, and does rare, medium-rare, medium, well done, over done, and completely ruined patties to order.
Re: Best burgers in Udon
I think he is not even in Thailand.
I live at Na Kha so travel that route about 4 times per week and have never seen any sign of a Burger stall.
It would be good if there was one as you can not get a burger anywhere in the area where I live.
Nearly all his posts are done in the early hours of the morning (1-4) )am which indicates he is not in Thailand.
Probably just another bored Troll looking for amusement.
Re: Best burgers in Udon
I have to agree with Pal52. I'm just after school in Nakha and have been traveling that road for about 27 years and haven't spotted a burger place. As said all his posts are in the early hours which tells a story.

So members must be in Thailand to make posts?
I can easily identify more than one active member of long-standing with a commensurate lengthy posting history who also "shows little/no contemporary knowledge" of Thailand, let alone the epicenter of Isaan forum conspiracies.

Do they?
I can't think of anyone silly enough to suggest that.
That is a bit different to posting about something you claim to have contemporary, and on-the-ground knowledge of, if you are in fact nowhere near UT.
Of course, Bob could clear it up quickly by posting a photo, as suggested by Wee Jimmy a few days ago.
Re: Best burgers in Udon
Exactly, Jack. The forum system is to accept posts regardless of where they originate (which can be determined from the IP address of the posting computer).jackspratt wrote: ↑February 28, 2024, 11:07 amDo they?

And I agree with you, Jack, -- Bob Zubali, why don't you post some photos and let us all enjoy these burgers?

No, it was your inference actually.jackspratt wrote: ↑February 28, 2024, 11:07 amDo they?

Oh? I know that there's a special on a soon-to-be discontinued line of Ryobi power tools at Tool Pro right now and I am about 3000 km away. That is a bit different to posting about something you claim to have contemporary, and on-the-ground knowledge of, if you are in fact nowhere near UT.

Re: Best burgers in Udon
Well that's interesting - Bob*** didn't tell us that his elusive burger lady has a website, like Tool Pro does.
Perhaps it shows her location, menu and prices - including the (now) oft requested photos.
And another thing - how can you be "on-the-ground" when you are working offshore.
*** he must be pissing himself by now - or at least he will be when he wakes up, and opens this thread.

Good wind-up eh? I bet there are even some forum vegetarians planning on jumping in their car and cruising the north Mitrapharp just to feel relevant.jackspratt wrote: ↑February 28, 2024, 1:33 pmWell that's interesting - Bob*** didn't tell us that his elusive burger lady has a website, like Tool Pro does.

Re: Best burgers in Udon
so is the burger building between Na Kha and UDIS and Phen?
laughing at the occasional visitor and failed taxi drivers

The growing consensus seems to be that it exists only on Bob's fertile, and mischievous imagination.thewatchman wrote: ↑February 28, 2024, 6:16 pmso is the burger building between Na Kha and UDIS and Phen?
