No more bogus than the repeated claims of imminent catastrophe such as 'virtually all' the hospitals in Gaza destroyed or the Gaza strip repeatedly "almost out of diesel" and thus power. What was one of those more recent "not quite but almost" statements from the WHO? Oh yes, "The system in Gaza is on its knees, it's more than on its knees, ..." Too early to dramatically claim it's on its hands and knees then.jackspratt wrote: ↑March 6, 2024, 12:19 pmIt seems the UN OIOS is still waiting for the Israeli evidence to support its claim that the 12 UNRWA staff were participants in the October 7 massacre.jackspratt wrote: ↑February 8, 2024, 9:32 amThis is the report rick refers to above.

It is pretty clear the UN has not substantiated the claims of UNRWA involvement in the October 7 massacre, otherwise there would be no need for the investigation currently underway by the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS), the top UN investigatory agency.
Also a very interesting report here https://www.france24.com/en/middle-east ... main-murky

Is this going to turn out the same way as the apparently bogus al-Shifa "Command Centre" claim?
Of course, it suits Israel's purposes to drag this out, in the hope countries will continue to withhold aid promised to UNRWA.
Meanwhile, a senior U.N. aid official told the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that one quarter of the population of Gaza is one step away from famine and widespread famine could be "almost inevitable" without action. Is that 'one step' about 2 foot, 2 weeks or 2 years?
The only agency that seems to be ticking along nicely is the Gaza Health Ministry that, despite lack of power, water, food, fuel, manages to give awesomely precise statistics on how many innocents have been injured or killed. Of course Hamas run the GHM so it's got to be correct, right?
