Edward and his brother Brian, along with Lamont Dozier, formed the songwriting and production team known as Holland-Dozier-Holland. They were famously responsible for nearly every song put out by Motown Records during the time that they were there. Sheer brilliance.

A bit of a twist if others are interested in participating. I am guessing most of us have been to the odd live concert/performance/show etc. Some are fantastic, some from great recording artists fall s bit short of expectations. My list, roses and brick batts, all unranked.in exceptionalism and awfulness.
Exceptional
Alice Cooper
Bette Midler
Tina Turner
Rod Stewart
The Drifters
The Commodores
Frank Sinatra
The Luton Boys Choir
Don McLean
Queen
The Jersey Boys (musical)
Less than exceptional
Janis Ian
Sammy Davis Jnr
Fleetwood Mac
Don McLean ( exceptionally awful)
Neil Sedaka
The Who ( so loud everything was distorted)
