Boarding Kennels Udon/Nong Bua Lamphu area.

Post by richardlg » September 30, 2021, 9:06 am

Trying to plan a trip from NBL to Jomtien in coming weeks. We have 2 Jack Russell's that will require kennelling for a week or thereabouts.
Unfortunately Udon Thani Boarding Kennels are not taking in dogs at present.
Can anyone recommend another boarding kennel in this general area?
Thanks.

Things seem to be easing up in Udon....covid wise. You might want to inquire again after the beginning of Oct. Here's a google search for Udon kennels สุนัข ฟาก อุดร
Also, I'd suggest stopping by AEC Clinic and talking to one of their vets (all speak excellent English).....they may/should know of someone who provides the service.

Thanks Parrot. We've started working our way through the Udon Vets. Haven't got to AEC yet but will visit next Friday on my weekly Udon trip.
Some vets idea of kennelling is to lock them in a cage for the duration. Want to avoid that if l can.

In reply I totally understand...
Jackies do not like being caged as do not most dogs.
Myself and my wife are animal lovers having saved many soi dogs and cats over the years.
Currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Please if you get really stuck to find a suitable kennel for them you are most welcome to contact me as regards a home sit to look after them at no charge...
And you and your wife are most welcome to visit our home and see how we care for our animals...(Luxury life).
PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for your kind offer Marcus 1. We do have a plan B if the a good kennel doesn't eventuate. My lady has family off Tehan Road with a perimeter wall and lockable gate. Her family all work during the day but l could partition off a section for them during the day and her family care for them at night.
Not ideal but it is only a week.
Again, thanks for your kind offer.

Do you have an address and link? We have a Chihuahua-Jack Russell mix, one year 4 months old.

Disclaimer ..i have no affiliation to this business other than being a happy customer.

I use this place twice per month for my 2 Jack Russells .. best ive found in the Udon area and very convenient location for us.

It is an excellent set up, clean and safe with a very nice lady owner who speaks excellent English.

I book the garden room which is a small indoor fan sleeping area then in the day time it opens onto a 3m x 4m enclosed garden area.

Dogs are taken out and exercised twice a day morning and evening in a huge enclosed grass area with obstacles and play equipment.

I also book the doggie spa treatment which i believe is free if staying more than 4 nights.

Prices go on dog weight/size and my two are 8kgs and 6kgs and because they share a room it costs 500 bt per night thats for both not each and includes food though i do leave them some of their fav treats ... my dogs really seem to love it there.

Dogs must have an up to date vaccine cert...and its a good idea to leave a shirt or blanket with the owners scent on it as makes them less worried being left there.

There are AC rooms and bigger outdoor kennel garden pens.

I have no qualms about leaving my dogs here the owner and staff genuinely seem to care about the guests and dog owners receive daily video updates and pictures via LINE .

** BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS ADVISED especially at peak holiday times etc

Here is the FB link for the new cat/dog boarding facility here in Udon that was requested. "The Paradise Cat & Dog Hotel"
https://www.facebook.com/TheParadiseCatandDogHotel/

Some key points about the place

* Modern, newly built dog/cat boarding facility. They have spacious aircon rooms with tiled walls and floor drains for extra cleanliness. They are probably the largest and cleanest dog rooms in Udon. Many places don't have tiled walls and so they get "hard to remove stains" and "bacteria" on the walls, it's not hygenic, be careful about that. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities.

* Generators in case of power loss so that guests always have air-conditioning.

* CCTV everywhere

* Convenient location about 1 or 2 kilometers off the Ring Rd., near Baan San Saraan Housing estate, Romyen housing estate, just a couple minutes drive from Big C

* Video updates of guests are given to the owners

* The dogs go out about 3 times during the day and twice in the evenings. They are always supervised when outside.

* The hotel owner & family live at the facility and also have an employee so are able to give the guests lots of love and attention.

* The owner speaks English, Dutch and Thai

* There is a smoke detector and fire extinguisher in both the cat hotel and dog hotel.

* Up to date vaccinations required

* The perimeter walls are over 2 and a half meters high

* Fresh green grass outdoor play area

* Guests do not play with each other and are kept separate (unless they arrive together)

* There are no fan rooms since the owner feels it can be just a bit too hot for the guests. Dogs can get heat stroke, some dogs are older and more vulnerable and some breeds are more sensitive to the hot weather. The owners want the guests to be comfortable. They are responsible for their guests and want the best for them. It's just a matter of opinion or preference.

* They have the lowest weekly and monthly rates in Udon Thani. Also the 2nd,3rd dog are 50% Off so it gets cheaper.

This may be of interest to some dog owners in the Udon area.

I was chatting to the lady owner of

https://www.facebook.com/people/Udon-Do ... /?sk=about

She informed me that in the near future they will be piloting a project and running one week dog training courses conducted by a professional certificated dog trainer / whisperer, i cannot remember all the details but the course includes full board and food plus the training.

Im seriously thinking about enrolling my girl Jack Russell Jilly , she does need some instruction as shes bonkers.. of course cant let her go alone so her doggie boyfriend Jack will have to go with her to keep an eye on her.

I heard on the grapevine that Dao was making enquiries as to whether they will offer a discount if she enrols you at the same time.

Any truth to that?
