Oh dear, how sad, never mind

Post by tamada » May 20, 2024, 1:24 pm

The Iranian president and foreign minister have perished in a helicopter crash.

Expect much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Allah giveth and Allah taketh away too.

Hahahaha, great news. I wonder how the IDF managed to sabotage the chopper.

If it is found Netinyahoo n the IDF were involved this could escalate an already tense situation , with Iran on good terms with China and Russia possibly even the touch paper for WW3.

Give it 2 weeks and it'll be history. The West will not give a toss! Nor will the East.
IMHO and from what I have read it was just a poorly managed flight in bad weather conditions.

You are probably correct.

DM did make an interesting and intelligent observation on the potential involvement of "outside forces".

Google is your friend.
Google is no longer your friend. It has been destroyed by AI. Ai is now responsible for, not by outright lies but by accumulating information from false posts written by liars. The Internet is now full of totally false and misleading information. AI needs a lot of serious work to become accurate and useful. Google has never been totally accurate but it was much better before these paid writers started using AI.

It comes down to the old saying, garbage in, garbage out. A good example of outright false information is about US Social Security giving away huge amounts of free money.

I hear that Wikipedia is also keeping their "volunteer editors who generate online content with the editorial oversight of other volunteer editors via community-generated policies and guidelines" busy these days.

Back on topic, and to address the "batter up" questions raised earlier, most western mainstream media portrays this as a minor bump in the road with a roster of the usual compliant suspects being nominated. However, Al Jazeera are making more of a meal of the western media's nothing burger, suggesting that despite all meaningful counter-though being proscribed in Iran, it could signal shifts or weaknesses in the ayatollahs power structure.

In the meantime, the supreme leader Khamenei still wields real power and makes policy. Maybe he needs to pass an edict on helicopter safety and maintenance with regard to flying in inclement weather.

With respect, only an idiot would think Mossad had anything to do with this.

Oh, wait ..

With equal respect, until further information came out about the crash, only a shallow thinker would have not considered that Israel may have been involved. After all, it had no qualms about bombing a foreign embassy in a different country just a short while ago,

Anyway, I'm sure Jon will be chuffed to know he has joined rare company.

Are the mad mullah's crying foul play? Or is it just the wishful thinkers clinging to that fallacious nonsense?

Who are these "wishful thinkers" you speak of?

Are they related to the "idiot" you spoke of earlier?

Probably. Then again, they could be simply straw clutchers.

PS: It's idiots (plural).

So it is apparent (on this thread at least) there are 3 wishful thinking idiots, and one shallow thinker. ;)

I can't view YT's at the moment. What does the Caspian Report suggest: all change or more of the same?

Asking for a friend (of Mossad).
