Cataract surgery in Udon

Post by petl » July 25, 2024, 8:23 am

At 83yo my eyesight is continuing to deteriorate, recent tests indicate that cataract surgery is needed. Scary prospect for me, so I'm looking for any comments, recommendations, warnings etc from members' recent experiences. Previous discussion on this forum date back to 2021, maybe things have changed since then? Thanks.

Earlier posts were 2021 but, mine were this year if you go to the bottom of the thread

In summary, surgery itself is totally painless. Main issue for me was having to be inactive for a month.

From the same thread as samster.

My experience with a local ophthalmologist for a detached retina. From post-operative visits to his surgery and observing fellow patients, he is able to assess cataracts and do surgery.
