Nigel Farrage
I'm not a Brit but I was listening to Farrage about what is wrong with the UK. He seems to be the only one who has any idea about the way to fix the problems and that is with mass deportations. The housing problem is simply caused by too many people. Native Brits deeply resent that illegals are being better taken care of than citizens. He did stop short about naming radical Muslims.
Re: Nigel Farrage
The UK housing shortage is the result of successive British governments not building enough affordable housing for their own NATIVE BORN POPULATION. The myth of illegals getting free housing while the citizens have to live on the streets is the claptrap pedaled by the likes of Farage and his awful creed.
Immigration isn't the cause, never has been unless you think that ***** don't belong here of course.

Even if there was a programme to build sufficient housing for the NATIVE BORN POPULATION just how do you absorb/house the near million 'legal' immigrants coming in almost annually. It's these mis-calculations on population levels that's causing the current problems with housing, NHS care, schools class numbers etc. The illegals are nowhere near the previous levels of legals coming in but will also have to be accommodated eventually as they most likely will not be returned to previous 'Safe Havens' never mind Country of Origin.
Can you tell your audience just how many illegal invaders are currently forced to live on the streets of the UK?

Re: Nigel Farrage
Can't figure out why you lot don't stop illegals hitting your shore line?
We have a few get in, with a much larger coast and much smaller navy, but they do get housing and most don't stay too long and not on the mainland!
The precedent was set several years ago and the deterrent appears to be working as we don't get nearly as many people smugglers trying these days. Only been 1-2 boats made it to the WA coast (Beagle Bay) this year with 20 odd people.

Re: Nigel Farrage
In my simplistic view of the situation in UK;
Legal Migration = much needed and good for the country.
Illegal Migration = not needed and bad for the country.
Of course there will be some edge cases to both but quite often it is the edge cases that take the focus / priority and skew the situation.
Illegals arriving on small boats could be stopped almost overnight but seems to be a massive reluctance to do that and I'm not sure why this is? Open to hearing the arguments from both sides.

Trouble with the legal immigration is not so much those coming into the UK to work or study, its the numbers of dependants they were allowed to bring into the UK as part of the deal.
The Tories took too bloody long to recognise this and tighten up on visa requirements but the figures for the first half of 2024 are reflecting this change.
Bogus university courses etc have all been subject to greater review but Liebour will probably reverse this as well.
As for the boat invaders there needs to be some serious discussions on why EU Nations are quite happy just being the conduit for the steady stream of criminal invaders given access to the UK. Just how to stop without the handwringing everyone is welcome brigade beginning to flood the UK with tears is a problem in the Too Difficult file for our useless politico's.
