Declan,
Just so you know a "True Republican" supports the country FIRST, then the party, not some demigod insurrectionist who only cares about himself. Both myself, a moderate Republican, and son a conservative Republican will not vote for the Trumpster. For both od us there are no acceptable candidates on the presidential ballot. Time to write-in Mickey Mouse.

Yes, a true Republican supports the country first -- and Democrats do not.

Do what's best for you, Stan. Individual Liberty is a wonderful thing.

A thinking person would wonder why all these high profile, thinking Republicans have gone the way of "backstabbing" a candidate who would normally be an easy choice for them.

What could be the common denominator? :-k

I read only about half of your posts and answer even less. I know better than to waste my time on most of what you post.

I post information and move along.

You may characterize it in any way that you wish. I don't lose any sleep over you or your opinions of anything (and very thankful that you have no vote in America).

However, you seem hell bent (like at least one other) who is compelled to chase after me all over this forum. It has become quite flattering. :-"

I wonder what shocking event happened on January 6, 2021 that caused Cheney to change her mind?

Just demonstrates, I guess, that even some deeply conservative Republicans have the ability to see through what a dangerous charlatan the candidate representing their party is.

Does asking your staff to figure out a way to suspend the Constitution qualify as supporting the country? How about imploring the Vice Presidnet to violate his Constitutional obligation and not certify an election?

More Leftist nonsense. That's not what happened; but you go on and continue to believe it.

Uh oh. Politico, another Democrat newsletter, and CNN are both dissing Walz and the Harris campaign. Something isn't quite right there.

Politico says the Walz problem is due to a “lack of vetting.” Kamala is now stuck with Tim Walz as a liability dragging down her campaign. The VP nominee is essentially outlined as a lying liar who lies, although they use the word “misspeak” frequently.

Politico never tells their readers that Eric Holder was the one who vetted all the VP candidates for Harris. If the Democrat newsletters are going to use the excuse of failed vetting of Walz for Harris losing, they are saying Eric Holder sunk Harris.

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/10/0 ... k-00182350
Since being tapped as Kamala Harris’ running mate, the folksy, plain-speaking Minnesota governor has had to explain a growing number of inaccurate statements — and at times embellishments — about his past. They range from comments about his military service to his visit to Hong Kong more than three decades ago to clarifying that his family didn’t specifically use in vitro fertilization.

It’s unclear whether Walz’s verbal errors will undercut his credibility with voters. But the need to continually clean up those claims could politically hurt Walz and Harris, who are locked in a tight race with Donald Trump and JD Vance. And in some cases, key members of Harris’ circle weren’t aware of some of the inaccurate statements until they became public despite the vetting process, according to four people familiar with the conversations who were granted anonymity to discuss the matter.
Something not quite right about this with Leftists pointing out the bad choice of Walz. That's usually not allowed.

Easy to see that Walz is sketchy if the observer is intellectually honest. To see Politico highlight Walz as a liar is a serious strategic shift.

CNN notes that Walz is corrupt:

https://twitter.com/i/status/1842212852402172105

Democrats like to call Conservatives weird; but there's something weird about two Leftist media organizations piling on Walz and the Harris campaign.

Is the media starting to position a justification defense to explain why Kamala Harris will lose?

Very suspicious.

If lying was a disqualifying event in US elections, Hillary Clinton would have been #45, and Ron DeSantis would be competing against Harris this time around.

Hillary paid for the Steele Dossier -- one of the biggest lies ever. DeSantis is part of the Sea Island Group and was summarily rejected in the GOP primary like all the others. You really don't know enough about US politics to know what you're talking about.

If "IF" was a skiff . . .

You seem to have missed the point, Declan. :-k

I may not know "enough" about US politics, but I do know how to recognize hypocrisy at its various levels.

I miss nothing. I ignore much.

You only seem to think that you recognize it in others; but not in yourself or fellow Leftists.

Boy, am I glad that we have at least one ticket where the candidates don't lie.

The latest? Trump announced that the governors of the states affected by Helene have heard nothing from the White House. The governors, however, say just the opposite.

Trump's statement in Georgia, saying that the Federal government isn't doing its job, and that Biden is MIA:

You don't know the players either.

Kemp is another member -- organizer -- of the Sea Island Group. He's a RAT.
