If you have a local specific question i still think the forum is about the best place to ask it. Try google/facebook and it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack of results.
Why are the number of posts declining? Older posters do not have as many questions and have been around for years, so know nearly everything they need to know. Also most posters are now older, and new posters rare. I fear that Udon expats are a dying breed.

What we need is a new crop of newbies, Maybe the Indians? :roll: :roll:

Where did the term 'Bender' come from?

The origin of the term "bender" meaning an extended bout of drinking alcohol is not certain. It appears to have been first mentioned in the mid-1800s. Some think that the meaning of bender came about as a reference to the act of bending one's elbow to take a drink. Others believe it is associated with the phrase "getting bent out of shape."
