Just think about what you have posted there Jack.jackspratt wrote: ↑September 18, 2024, 1:16 pmInteresting dilemma for someone proposing that there is only information, and no misinformation or disinformation.
Where/how do you classify AI created deepfake images and other media?
Is it even "information", and should it be controlled or just let run rampant?

Re: The US's struggle against disinformation
In the US, there are laws against phony balance sheet reporting of publicly traded companies. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) handles that.
As you stated before, "So, we never know if the Media is being controlled or not."
As I stated before, "It actually means that all voices must be heard TO GET TO THE TRUTH, and that we cannot depend on the media (as you admit) -- whether the media is state-run or not -- to tell us the truth."
And we can't trust government to tell us the truth either.
You are doing an excellent job of making the case why all voices should be heard.

The head of the SEC is a political nomination.Declan MacPherson wrote: ↑September 18, 2024, 9:38 pmIn the US, there are laws against phony balance sheet reporting of publicly traded companies. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) handles that.

Law breaking is determined in courts of law where politically nominated judges rule.
The SCOTUS, the ultimate determinants of what the laws can and cannot do, is stuffed with political nominees.
Sorry, back on topic. Who's controlling mainstream media? Who's controlling the voices you're listening to?

There's an opinion that the following wasn't getting any air time in mainstream media. There's an opinion that because it's related to Trump, it's getting buried.
I have no opinions on what happened or the reporting of it.

Nope not religious of any flavour. I do seem to remember that lying was not high up on the list of virtues, and one of Mr Moses tablets had a thing about bearing false witness. The Evangelical MFA crowd seem to ignore those bits.Declan MacPherson wrote: ↑September 18, 2024, 8:12 amSo you believe in the Bible and the existence of Satan? That's good.
But this isn't about Satan or Trump or admiring either one. I don't admire Trump; and I call him out on wrongheaded ideas that he proposes. But like I said, this isn't about any of that.
You continue to fail the challenge. Your posts aren't even about state-controlled media.
You seem to spend every waking hour coming after me. For that reason and others, I am unlikely to take any spiritual advice from someone whose posts are so laced with vile vindictiveness.
But that's okay. You have the freedom of speech.

And yet, like so many other Leftists, you feel qualified to lecture others on topics that you mock and reject:
Spirituality, Faith, the Bible, Religion, etc.
It's always hilarious when I run across those like you.

More of the same. After polymarket poll initially indicated Trump would have a commanding win.

However, the 'conventional' polls are suggesting the Democrats are doom'd.
