Gotta' keep that military-industrial complex well oiled, so that politicians' bank accounts remain well padded.

#1. Wheat flour the most eaten in the USA
U.S. annual consumption: 98 lb. per capita (1.89 lb. per week)
- Child annual consumption: 93.5 lb.
- Adult annual consumption: 99.8 lb.
- Low-income annual consumption: 89.2 lb. (9% below U.S. average)
- High-income annual consumption: 103.6 lb. (6% above U.S. average)
All-purpose flour is one of the most popular types of flour in the United States because of its accessibility and low price. While all-purpose is made using a combination of both hard and soft wheats (and can be either bleached or unbleached, chemically or naturally), there are also more fiber-rich types of flour, such as whole wheat flour available. The National School Lunch Program run by the USDA will require that half of weekly grains allowed for school lunches be rich in whole grains, beginning in mid-2019.

NASCAR Racing Sponsorship
It can cost anywhere from $15,000 to $400,000 per race to sponsor a NASCAR car. The primary sponsor will cover the bulk of the costs while the secondary and associate sponsors will provide less funding. Primary sponsors have a large range, often between $5 million and $35 million per year.

Some of the most expensive tickets in the stadiums are down behind home plate. On Friday, Dodger Stadium tickets behind home plate were selling for between $15,000 and $20,000.

..... Dodgers and Yankees fans have it easier than Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers fans. The average Super Bowl ticket went for $8,278 on StubHub this year.

Re: You gotta be joking
There your information is wrong.
Both the industrial hemp and the psychoactive hemp are Cannabis sativa they are the same botanical species.
The difference is in the cultivars and the amount of THC and CBD the cultivars contain.
In the U.K. it is perfectly legal to grow Cannabis sativa for industrial use however the level of THC must be under 0.2% in plants and under 1mg of THC (per container) of product.
It is quite likely that the cultivars that were produced for industrial hemp production may have had higher than the current limit for THC

Re: You gotta be joking
Already know the dates, Dd - they are all there on mlb.com.
In fact, the first game, at Dodger Stadium (how much were those tickets again?), has just concluded with a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th by Freddie Freeman.
2nd game is tomorrow morning our time - again at the relatively expensive Dodger Stadium.
Are you interested to know why the 1st x 2 games are at Dodger Stadium, before moving to Yankee Stadium for the next 3 - only if required?

These iconic yellow stick-on paper squares were invented in 1974 by 3M’s Arthur Fry, using a lightly sticky adhesive developed by his colleague Spencer Silver in 1968. Fry intended them to serve as bookmarks for his choir music that wouldn’t rip the pages. Post-its are now in nearly every office, to the great joy of 3M, which was worth $126.1 billion in 2019.

A woman called the local fire department to rescue a cat in her tree
Once the rescue was completed, she invited the crew in for refreshments
Upon the completion the Fire Crew manned their firetruck and drove back to the station. Unfortunately they drove over the cat and killed it.

Re: You gotta be joking
In 1943, Philadelphia shipyard naval engineer Richard James was working on a tension spring system that could stabilise objects on ships during stormy weather.
One day, he clumsily dropped a spring and watched in amazement as it maneuvered across a desk, some books, and onto the floor.
Certain the contraption would make a fun children's toy, James spent a year perfecting it, settling on a design made from 98 coils of high-grade steel.
James' wife Betty came up with the Slinky name and a classic toy was born. The couple then borrowed $500 and had 400 units produced.
Persuading retailers to stock the plain-looking plaything was a challenge, but the couple was finally given a chance to promote Slinky in 1945 at Philadelphia's Gimbals department store.
All 400 units sold within 90 minutes, and the couple never looked back. To date, more than 350 million Slinkys have been sold worldwide.
