Peterhead held Spartans, fellow promotion playoff challengers last season, to a goalless draw in Edinburgh. The Bluemoganers are still league leaders by one point.

Aberdeen on a roll, beating arch rivals Rangers at Pittodrie AT LAST. Watched a video of the pre-game, crowd warm-up and it was electrifying. The scoreline could easily have been better but for a bit of profligacy. That's something they can well do without if goal difference is going to be a deciding factor.

After getting their arses handed to them 6-0 by Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final, the Dons have gone off the boil, losing one and tying two of their subsequent league games. Last night they faced Celtic again at a cold and windy Pittodrie and their 10-month unbeaten home run ended with the visitors, who did have maybe 70% of possession, netting the only goal in the second half. Pre-game comments included only Aberdeen wouldn't think twice of firing off their pre-game pyrotechnics in 30 mph wind gusts.
Peterhead dropped points in November as well as getting knocked out of the League Cup, but they are only two points off league leaders Elgin City with two games in hand.

Another draw for Aberdeen sees Celtic pull nine points clear.
Another loss by Peterhead somewhat compensated for by the previous week's league leaders Elgin City also losing. With East Fife the only team of the top-three getting a win, looks like a three horse race heading for the new year.

Aberdeen fans becoming seriously 'bored' by the constant dropping of points. Can anyone remember the last time a quite pathetic Hibs team scored 3 goals in a game.
