My missus will shortly be looking to hire a car for a period of around 3-4 weeks. As long as it’s automatic, she doesn’t care what it is...anyone got a car to rent?

Not rented for 7 years since we bought our car but LEK Car Rental, who, I believe are sponsors on the forum would be my recommendation. Always used them before but excellent service, vehicles and price. Highly recommended

Thanks for your advice chaps. I have however been very fortunate that a mate has, ever so kindly, lent me a car for a month or so, I therefore don’t now need a rental.

What might the going weekly rate be in Udon? Only local driving, not leaving the province.

1290 per day is UD-carrent lowest price this month. Their ad showing 699 sounded good!!

Pay around 1500 baht/day from any of the airport majors using their websites?
I can get 1000 - 1300 baht/day with Budget if I book via a car trawler website. That makes UD-carrent quite competitive.

Rented a few days from Mali Thai who has a desk next to the taxi desk.
Price 799 per day. Car a bit older but is ok for a short time. We just use it a little to go to eat etc.
