Thaksin will be in town this week (13&14).
Indeed the reason for total gridlock around TSM .. truck loads of illiterate rural soap dodgers coming to get their 500 bt turn up fee made my take away go cold .. i was not amused. !! after all this isnt Ban Dung

DM
That was the preparations for Loy Katoey, buggerall to to with Thaksin. I still managed to get to FES@CCW in time.
Thaksin went to a rally in Kumphawapi not Udon.
He also did a show in Ban Dung.

TSM is in neither Khumpawapi nor Ban Dung.
Strange this ..as i did ask some folks in the area whilst waiting for my take away and they said go see Taksin...there was also a famous morlam concert as well ... quite possibly been to see Tako then off to the gig.. but there was total traffic chaos either way and my take away was a tad cold.

I thought this was a very perceptive opinion piece from the Bangkok Post, pointing out the malign influences over Thai politics this century, while cleverly avoiding saying the unspeakable.

https://www.bangkokpost.com/opinion/opi ... i-politics

However, they have also managed to highlight the returned cancer, in the person of Thaksin.

I didn't see any mention of cancer and I read it twice, just to make sure. Moot point as the malignancy lies elsewhere, in unspeakable places.
