So not a well thought out process in my mind..
Is any decision of Trump well thought out?
Taking advantage of a weak, vacillating Republican party and getting their nomination for POTUS.

Twice.

Following the 2024 elections, the party currently holds a federal government trifecta, controlling the presidency, as well as majorities in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Not too shabby for an "insurrectionist, pussy-grabbing, convicted felon", eh?

Maybe instead of minimum ages need to do something they should have MAXIMUM ages

More evidence that the new POTUS is not quite all right in the head.

Is this the real reason Trump wants in on Greenland?

Excellent, thanks Doodoo. There's an interview by Victoria Derbyshire from the BBC, of Jacob Chansley, the Qanon Shaman, recently pardoned by Trump where he checks all the boxes presented by the chap in your link.

The link also encapsulates and explains my narcissism perfectly which has been an immense help here at work, where I am surrounded by fellow narcissists, a couple of sociopaths and an Egyptian.

Agree with you.
His whole election ticket was based on fairly obvious isolationist policies.
If you are a citizen of the USA you either think the brand new POTUS is the new Messiah or the equivalent of a certain Austrian who had some fairly radical thoughts back in the first half of the last century.
History has shown time and time again that this type of unrestricted power has horrible (A Trumpism) consequences.

It has been comical to watch all the complaining in past years from this forum about the US being involved in everything around the world and now complaining about Trump not wanting to be involved in everything around the world.

Those complainers used the US involvement in everything in the world as the excuse for their involvement and criticism of US politics. Now that Trump is removing that excuse, nothing has really changed for the complainers who still complain.

There is no cure for contempt. Image

The US government is financially broke. Trump is putting spending and involvement of the US into things that only enhance and improve the US, which is what every country pretty much does.

You are free to continue to complain.

Hitler wasn't an isolationist, but the Americans sitting on their hands and watching Europe from afar certainly were, until the Japanese bombed them off their comfortable wall at Pearl Harbor.

Trump is not like Hitler, not even close. Maybe that misconception happens when the word 'fascist' is arbitrarily bandied about by certain losing presidential candidates or incorrectly attributed to people of all classes and persuasions in the same was as 'racist' commonly is?

The Gulf of America is not the Gulf of the United States.

The Gulf of America bathes the shores of North America, Central America and South America. It enhances the entire Western Hemisphere of all of the Americas and is all inclusive -- instead of just being the Gulf of Mexico.

I'm not here to debate contempt.

Pulling out of the Paris climate accords (again) does not mean that America the Great is going to climb back into its shell like a yuge Hermit crab. I mean, if he is planning to become a full-service isolationist leader, why did Trump hire Tulsi Gabbard?

The Atlantic and Pacific Oceans share shorelines with 'America' and dozens of other countries, but I guess the West American Ocean and East American Ocean sounds a tad too globalist and, dare I say it, expansively non-isolationist.

I'm here to poke fun.

Gabbard is a horrible pick. She has no America First Action in her history and doesn't belong in any policy-making position within the Trump Administration.

On her last day as a Democrat in the House, she was still voting with them 90% of the time according to numerous websites that show congressional voting records. My trust threshold with Gabbard never reached 50/50.

There are numerous appointees this go-round with Trump that I view as horrible choices.

WHAT! He was a demented, racially prejudiced monster. Even the Italians didn't trust him not to eventually turn his eye on their land.
I am afraid that Trump's demonisation of the Hispanic peoples as murdering criminals has all the hallmarks of the early 1930's.
For me there is no difference between Fascist or Marxist. Both depend on the absolute acceptance of the 'Leaders' dictates without question on pain of severe punishment.

You missed out the claim he would end the illegal invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours of his taking power. Just saying.
