Kendall Carson - Dixie. This rendition of an old standard was at the end of an ESPN documentary on the 1962 Ole Miss Rebels undefeated football team. It was also the year of the troubles at Oxford in which JFK sent in the army to integrate the University. Th name of the documentary is. 'Ghosts of Ole Miss' not to be confused with the movie, 'Ghosts of Mississippi'. Personally, I thought the 1959 Ole Miss squad was better and if not for Billy Cannon returning a punt for a touchdown and making a tackle at the goal line in the dying seconds, the Rebels would have won that game instead of losing 7-3.

Perhaps with the change of regime in Washington the alumni band can get back to playing this,
