Dancing Queen

Post by jackspratt » October 23, 2007, 8:22 pm

Is the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Clockwise for me. but if i look the middle of her body for more than 15 seconds she seems like she is slowing down whilst spinning, and if you look for too long its a bit nausiating

I find it easy to change the direction of her spin merely by just looking at her in my perifrial (sp?) vision. What ever direction she 'was' turning, she will go the other way... cool 8)

I was about to say there ain't no way on God's green earth that she was spinning counter-clockwise and then, poof, she was ! Pretty cool stuff.

Saw her first go counterclockwise, then go clockwise and can't make her go back again. Weird.....

I'm left-handed, clockwise makes sense.

Clockwise for me,looked away once and it was counter clockwise, then back to clockwise and looking away didn't change it.Then I tried looking at it continually with periphiral vision and it kept changing back and forth.Interesting!

seems like the directiion of the dancer changes sporadically.. I don't think this is a "brain-related" thing but it has to do with the dancer moving image itself...

Last night when I first looked at this, all I saw was a small, unmoving image. Was I braindead? Today I see a large silhouetted image of the girl with the perky, er, ponytail, moving constantly in a clockwise direction. Almost like she's on ice skates. :D

I'm left-handed and she just goes clockwise. I tried looking away, blinking peripheral and asking her nicely and she just refuses to do what I want and does her own thing. Hey I think I'm living with her!
