I think I've jumped through all the hoops Ray, just cannot get an explanation of what "3 copies in original " means.

I speak pretty darn good Americanise, but I'm at a loss for this. :?
I'm going to fall asleep tonight and I swear.."3 copies in original" is gunna give me nightmares!
I've only got 4 weeks left before I step on the silver bird and I'm trying to get this out to them ASAP.
Could I just arrive on a 30 day and covert it?

You knw what I did was five years ago, so I don't know if it would be safe to answer that. What I did was I got the tourist visa. Went to Vientene with all the documentation required and was issued a annual the following day.

The first one was B visa, I have no idea why I didn't request a B visa and that was later changed by Nong Khia to an O type.

I think if I were you and had the chance to get it done there I would do so use the alternative for a backup, if the original plan doesn't work.

Since there is so much time between what I did and now I really don't feel comfortable in answering that.

Copies I would just get them notorized and move on. If they are talking about thier forms sometimes here you are required to do duplicate submissions of thier forms. Really no big deal just confusing.

Yeah, it is confusing. Not so much what you need, just how many.
It sure seems a hellava lot easier to just do the 60 day tourist visa.
Thanks. :D

and it's in ENGLISH

The instructions that I got from Houston on my application about how many forms to submit..I quote " 3 sets in original "
I emailed her back and she sent the instructions again without any explanition.

What in the heck does "3 sets in original" mean????? :?
2 copies and the original?

Must be Texan
It seems pretty obvious to me - 3 'originals'. No copies. 3 forms, all filled out the same. 3 of them all looking like 'originals'.

Or am I missing something?

Somewhere there has been a miscommunication. Lets try it again as I emailed Jennifer and got the same paperwork I got over the past 18 months.

1. email Jennifer at the Dallas office, email supplied earlier, she will reply with 2 PDF files.
2. open two PDF files and print.
3. fill out the easy forms, no crimianl, medial, financual at all.
4. 2 passport pics
5. money order or cash
6. passport
7. mail with prepaid envelope included

HOW MUCH EASIER DO YOU WANT IT?
Who where those reliable people that refered you to Houston (who have same requirements as LA?). Who cares about how many copys if you just follow the easy instructions from Dallas.
