Well, today I sent my retirement visa pack to the consulate in Houston.
I wanted to say thanks to all who gave me advise and related thier problems to make it smoother for me.
I can only hope it dosen't get returned with a bunch of items that need to be corrected or added.
I think I have it all complete, but only time will tell.
Just a few days left and I can escape the cold and back to shorts and sandals...
Again, many thanks to you all.

Good luck to you!!!
PS: I am actually enjoying the cold and snow ...
I am in my small farangland now, (skiing yesterday) which I certainly couldn't do in NL. Frikandelen??? That's nasty! Haven't had that thing in ages. I could use an appelflap or two though with my coffee verkeerd.Maligator wrote:Na, gonna miss it by a few days.
I bet it's nice to be back in NL. I miss it terribly.
I was gunna move to the Venlo area, where my family is, but the euro killed my plans, or should I say the dollar did it.
and I could use a couple of Dommelsch and some frickendelen w/ satay sauce.
Muuuummm good!
Hmm, it's gotten really expensive there in EURo terms as well. (I am sure the Venlo folks are making over the border trips to shop in Germany). Furthermore, some smart heads just decided that the Redlight district in A'dam will be cleansed of the sex stuff and from June onwards, there will be a ban on smoking in bars and restaurants (effectively killing the coffe shop business). Not sure why would anybody want to visit the place anymore (repeatedly).
